Travel adaptor

I'm looking for an adaptor to use on a cruise. It needs to adapt from UK to US sockets (to clarify the socket in the cabin will be a US type) I have an old one that I could use but I'd like one that also has a couple of USB outlets. I'm befuddled by the offerings on Amazon. Top priority for me is safety. Thanks for any advice or recommendations.

I'd recommend one by Anker, I have a four USB UK /EU plug adapter from them which is great.
I have several other Anker products of a similar type which are all good quality.
Having had a quick look, there's this UGreen one (we also have a few of their products) which does UK/EU/US

Or this cheaper one which is UK to US

Emmia, thanks, that is very helpful. I'm familiar with Anker and UGreen looks decent quality too.0

US sockets aren't just different shape but different voltage. You'll need to make sure your devices will work at 110V, or get a voltage converter. Also check the current/power limit of any adapter if you're using it for anything high power like a kettle or hairdryer etc.

Thanks, it would just be for charging my Kindle, phone and tablet (both Android). I believe there is also a European socket in the cabin.0

I bought what you are looking for in Bodycare last week - £2.99.

I can't see one with USB sockets though?NoodleDoodleMan said:I bought what you are looking for in Bodycare last week - £2.99.0 -
Take an 4 way extension lead to use with your UK/US adaptor and use your normal chargers for phone / kindle etc.
Probably cost you nothing then.3 -
4 way extension leads may not be permitted on board and could be removed by stewards.400ixl said:Take an 4 way extension lead to use with your UK/US adaptor and use your normal chargers for phone / kindle etc.

OP which ship? Many US based cruise lines also have a UK or EU 240v socket and USB sockets. For USB charging I use these.

They can be used with any generic multi adapter.0 -
For the OP and you thats probably fine but for those with wive's who want their hairdryer, straighteners, hot air brush thingy etc that they want to be able to use abroad a 4 way plus a multi-USB-C port charger is a necessary evil, else I'll plug something into charge in the morning, come back 45 minutes later and it will still be at 10% because she decided to unplug it to use her straighteners.IvanOpinion said:
We used to do that but just find an extension with several chargers was far too bulky.400ixl said:Take an 4 way extension lead to use with your UK/US adaptor and use your normal chargers for phone / kindle etc.

My travel adaptor works in US, Europe and Australia, has a single universal socket on the front, 2 USBA and 2 USB2 sockets 65W GAN. Not much bigger than a single charger, just need to pack that and the required cables.3 -
The one on the right is a "2 port USB adapter"! If OP only need USB charging then that's all she'll need. Not sure what the Kindle uses but presumably the androids are USB charging.Emmia said:
