    I agree with the coments above that a larger tank is generally preferable and cheaper to run.

    We have a slimline 160L Joule Kodiak pre-plumbed tank, and it occupies a footprint of around 700mm x 700mm allowing for connections. Any tank is going to be a real squeeze in that space, limiting your choice to slimline models only.

    We have an 180l tank which we heat via immersion overnight to 70c and it does about 4 morning showers so we have to reheat for the evening showers.  I would estimate about 2.5kwh of heat per shower is realistic.

    I had to rob a bit of space from the adjacent bedroom to expand the airing cupboard to fit my tank.  But I think MCS is right to match the tank to the needs of the house rather than the needs of the people occupying it at the time.  Because people move house.
    This is important.
