Wow that is a massive amount of money... Just as well I've never smoked I certainly couldn't afford it! Chocolate is much cheaper!

You could always put that £3 towards your new wardrobe and new you.

well, well... I've been so good today! Not even wanted a ciggie! Let's hope it stays that way...

Well, it's now been 8 hours and the following changes in my body have already taken place:

    Blood pressure droped to normal
    • Pulse rate droped to normal
    • Body temperature of hands and feet increased to normal
Carbon monoxide level in blood droped to normal
    • Oxygen level in blood increased to normal

    Woo hoo! :D
  • It's now been over 24 hours (27 hrs) and I'm feeling fab...

I am getting pangs, but nothing too hard yet.

All I have to do is look at my little quit timeline thingy and that motivates me tons!

    · In 24 hours: Carbon monoxide will be completely eliminated from your body and your lungs will start to clear out excess mucus and any other smoking 'debris'. You may notice you have a cough or sore throat as new lung tissue starts to grow.

This time tomorrow, I'll be completely nicotine free...!
You know what? I only smoked 8-10 per day, but I already feel like I can breath better!

well, what a difference a weekend makes.
Not only am I smoking again (and now heavily, I admit) but I have seperated from my OH and cancelled my trip.

I'll get a refund for my trip (apart from a cancellation fee) so that will help with my debt, but there is no such refund for the pain I feel right now.

I don't really want to go into the break-up, there was no-one else involved but we had been having problems for a while (as some of you might remember). at least I'll be debt free quicker I guess.

  • Im sorry to hear about your break up but by the sounds of it its for the best, i know that probably doesnt help with how your feeling right now but it will get better in time. Also remember that what you'll miss is probably the companionship and not the person.

Hugs to you and keep smiling! You will get through it!

  • £100.00 on my credit card this morning.

That means I should be able to pay off the credit card next Friday (18.01.08) (taking into account the refund). And the credit card will be gone! :D

Then the next Friday (25.01.08) I’ll pay off the old overdraft!

Then I won't owe any banks or credit card people anything... just my folks - and they didn't even want be to pay them back... but I insisted.
