                    Happy New Year to all!

Well, this is the year I become debt free!!! Such a relief to write that!

I have been working on my budget for the last hour and if I stick to it I’ll be debt free on 28.06.2008!!!!

I’m so excited and happy with this date. I’ll be heading off to Oz and NZ in Feb for a month and start manically repaying my debts from April until June when they should all be gone!

So this year I will repaying my credit card, my old overdraft and my mum & dad.
In total, I think I’ll roughly have £2,250.00 to repay in total when I return from my trip.

Here’s to the new year and becoming debt free!

hey lucy! happy new year babe!
ouch! trip finances aren't exactly going according to plan (way over spent during the festive period) but I'm not too worried about it now. I can only do my best at the end of the day.
There are only 9 pay days to go until I leave for the trip (I get paid weekly) and 2 of those are small amounts due to Christmas time off and a half week this week - but not to worry, I should be just fine.
Between now and going away I'll be saving real hard and selling stuff to help.
The money I made on Amazon at the end of last year helped with the festive period, but I've got a bit more to sell yet, so fingers crossed the sales go well and I can add that to my debts.
 squeezes,
 LP

LittlePickle, that's great news ... and if you have six months of being debt-free in 2008, then guess you will have substantial savings by Christmas! Do you have plans for what to do with it (apart from framing your bank statements )? )?
I've also set this year as the year that I get out of debt. Since I'm self-employed, a lot of that is down to how hard I work on and in my business, but am absolutely using MSE to trim personal spending and can go via some of the cash-back sites for some of the work purchases such as stationery. It's really exciting to think that in a year's time, I'm going to book a lovely holiday. 0 0

            You are not alone hun.
This one over spent to. Although just gone through everything this morning and I should still be able to over pay on my Laptop. Although I really need to get my spending under control!
I have a few things to post for Amazon and a house raid to do and list, still we will get here wont we!

            Hi EnjoyLife,
 Happy New Year!
Well, when I have paid off the debts my OH and I are going to start properly saving for a little house to buy!!
Other than that, this may sound odd, but I'm going to save for a few weeks and the first thing I will do is buy a new wardrobe. I haven't bought any clothes (apart from the odd Primark thing here and there) for about 1 1/2 years now.
It'll be such a nice feeling to be debt free, stress free and looking great!
So, when do you think you might be Debt Free and what will you be looking forward to when you are?
