Euro Parking Service PCN at Chamberlain buidlings Jewellery Quarter Birmingham

Hello

I had received a Parking charge notice for parking in disabled bay/space and not clearly displaying a valid blue badge.

According to PCN ticket, the time period is from 13:00pm to 13:07pm.  The PCN ticket shows photo taken at 13:07pm not showing valid blue badge.  According to my shopping receipts, the last purchase was completed at 13:13pm and left the car park approx at or before 13:18pm.

I had displayed the valid blue badge as quickly as possible during the course of parking in disabled space but no photos of car parking shown after 13:07pm when the blue badge was displayed clearly until I left the car park.  Whilst I was parking in disabled space I remained in car and my partner got out to buy food from two different shops; the till receipt shows first shop at 13:09pm and the second shop till time at 13:13pm.  So I left car parking shortly after 13:13pm.

It would seem to me that the Euro parking services deliberately ignored the period when the valid blue badge was actually clearly displayed and only issued PCN for period where it was not displayed clearly.

Should I appeal against the Parking Charge Notice based on what had actually happened and the actual period of parking is longer than what is mentioned on PCN ticket.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Hi

Yes, it is the same place near Tesco express.

I think, I need to challenge this PCN ticket because it was clearly issued incorrectly when majority of time the valid blue badge was clearly displayed.

    Thanks

A heads-up  -  the Blue Badge scheme is not relevant on private property but the following may save you a proper fine/trouble:-

    "
You should not use the badge to allow non-disabled people to take advantage of the benefits while you sit in the car.
    • It’s a criminal offence to misuse a badge. This includes people other than the badge holder taking advantage of the parking concessions provided under the scheme."

    Hi

Thank you 1505grandad for your comments about use of blue badge.

Thank you ChirpyChicken, if it is waste of time appealing then should I wait for court notice and defend in court or just pay the PCN.  In my view, to pay £60 without appeal or defending it, it gives these cowboy firms licence to generate money by issuing incorrect PCN unfairly.

    Thanks

    No you should never pay.
It's not a site I would park at
Quite a bit of on street parking further down the side streets from there

Clearly you won't be paying.  :)

Do nothing.  There is no appeal with an IPC firm. And nobody cares about the £160 or £170 threatograms that come next.  PLEASE DO NOT SHOW THEM TO US!

Sit tight. Do nothing except the below:

By going confidently into the 'ignore' stance, the only steps to take are:

    - Tell them if you move house within 6 years.

    - Ignore the tedious £170 threatograms shown in pictures in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread.

    - Come back if you get a solicitor's LBC or a Claim Form, as per the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
