Like a lot of others, I am having problems with RWG.
I only joined them a little under two weeks ago and have been completely unable to send or receive calls or texts in that time. Most frustratingly. I ported my number over and am now effectively locked out of my online banking because I can't receive my OTPs.
On the support page of the RWG website is a large "Communications Ombudsman" banner, under which they proudly claim to be a member of the scheme for dispute resolution. However, when visiting the Communications Ombudsman website to raise a dispute, RWG is not listed, nor is their parent company "Iwithacircle"
Have they lied about being a member, or are they listed under another name?

Is it a physical sim you have, or an esim?
Some physical sims are provided by nowmobile on ee, I understand an increasing number of physical sims and esims are provided by gamma mobile on 3.

Sadly it was perhaps not the greatest idea to port your number until your service was fully up and running.

I don't know if it helps but RWG Mobile is the trading name of Red White & Green Communications.

    That's not listed either.
I honestly think they've just lied about being a member. Either that, or they were a member and have since withdrawn (perhaps because they were receiving too many complaints.)
From what I can gather, the Communications Ombudsman isn't much use anyway.

Yes, I very much regret porting my number. I (naively) never realised mobile networks could be this useless.

Now is listed, but are they the same company? I'm aware the RWG use some of Now's services but I'm not sure how connected they are beyond that.
I have been on the online chat of Now's website. The guy knew details of my account without me needing to tell him and could see that I was currently "roaming" outside of the UK.  He was able to view the emails I had sent but insisted there was nothing he could do beyond urging RWG to respond. He clearly knew more about what's going on with RWG than he was prepared to divulge, and was very possibly lying about not personally being able to do anything.

Really I doubt anyone is lying to you. Firms can be incompetent, understaffed etc.

Nothing on their website to suggest a change of ownership. Interestingly though the references to 3 have disappeared. I've just ordered a pay monthly sim so will see what comes (if anything).

Even still, I think it's more than just incompetence when they display a "Communications Ombudsman" banner on their website and claim to be a member if they're not.
