I want something that is good value has a tray that can hold 80+ pieces of paper feeding them through 1 at a time and can last a long time
You have found an item which seems to include the auto-feed component. I have no experience so cannot comment.
I am just wondering with these larger-capacity shredders with auto-feed whether it is just a case of finding a unit with the auto-feed part, or whether the budget needs to be quite some way higher so that the whole machine is manufactured to a more robust standard than the more regular domestic shredders. I know my shredder, which is pretty robust, has a limit on operating time and not just the number of sheets fed through. It matters not how efficient a sheet feeder part is if the machine below that receiving the paper is not sufficiently resilient to tolerate the extended heavy use. Also, with so much paper being fed in, a large bin would be useful. I have worked in places where the shredder bin takes dustbin sacks rather just just being a bucket to empty.0 -
I honestly thought this shredder I bought was gonna be robust and last but sadly other Amazon reviews have same issues as me!O well onto the next one!0

I am gonna look for better quality auto feed shredder will oil it this time
I swear by Fellowes shredders. Sure you pay more, but they're worth the extra money. For all this is a money saving forum, sometimes you save money in the long run by buying good quality items, instead of replacing cheap items more often which also happens to be bad for the environment.0 -
Fellowes is what I am looking at bit too expensive at moment for me but might get one soon as they last for ages0

I bought my current shredder for £15 pounds from Rymans 12 years ago
Its manual feed, so no auto fed mechanism to go wrong
The max number of sheets it's supposed to take is 5 sheets but I only feed it 3 sheets.
I think I have used it once or twice to shred some plastic cards, which it is not designed to do.
I have never oiled it ever.
The only times it ever jams is when I overfill the bin.

Wow who would put a coin a shredder lol 😂
I have tried to fix my shredder but there is a few bits that are completely wedged in the teeth in the middle of the blade!
Shredder will reverse or forward once then the blades will just stop but the motor keeps going!
I think it’s dead as a dodo o well
