Morning all.
Posi-vibes winging their way down the motorway for Fayolle's DD, and more for Narc0's mum's buyer's solicitor.
I have gained somebody's 1½lbs this week - but not really surprising, since I had a binge on cake and buttered toast yesterday
Heavy downpours here this morning, but they have stopped (as per the forecast) just in time for Rosie's walk with L, and the sun is out. I had planned to take W to see the birds of prey flying at our local falconry centre this afternoon, but having just checked their website I find that they are not open on Mondaysso I shall have to think of something else to do with her.
I have done all the dailies, showered and dressed early, my bed is made, the kitchen is sparkling, the floor in the LR is devoid of fluff, a whole-house PUPA took less than 5 minutes, I've decluttered my Valentine's card (pretty though it is, I have a one-week rule, 10-day max), the bank balances are good for the last week of the month (no Council Tax to pay in Feb or March, and what a difference that makes!), and I have another amaryllis in bud - that makes four atmOn balance, a very good day so far. Now, if I could just get some more of the ancestors tucked up in their files - some of them are turning into frogs as I type....
Love, (((hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, as needed xxx7 -

Made sausages and mash for tea - lovely sausages from the butcher. Leftover mash added to the cottage pie in the freezer once cooled,
I have put some items from mum's sewing tin in my sewing tin. There are more cotton reeld than I can fit in, though, so I am going to have to have a box for extra threads. I'll add the buttons to the button tin. I have so many needles I'm going to throw my old ones and use the new ones; they'll be nice and sharp. I've gone through some of the knitting needles - I've got lots of duplicates so I'll save them for the crafters bazaar. Got surplus stitch holders too. I've washed the play dough stuff from work, from the toddler group.
Swimming stuff washed. Ironing pile dealt with.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

- one load washing on
- checked that car insurance company had taken the right amount. It had.
- went to DanceFit
- went to return library books
- went to Mr T
- house contracts now exchanged!!! with completion date next week. Messaged Mum's NDN so she knows to expect the new people/cars/activity
- watered some plants in the greenhouse as some are beginning to show signs of life. Mr N put up 2 new nesting boxes.
- went to zumba
- cross with self as one of the things I did with Mum was help her write a letter to a good friend who has been writing regularly. I thought I'd put it in my handbag to post when I got home.....couldn't find it. Realised that after my very wet walk back from the care home, I'd emptied my bag and spread things out to dry so I'm guessing it is somewhere in the care home. I tried ringing but it was about 8.30pm and no reply. Searched for an email address but it is all centralised so I'll try ringing tomorrow. Very vexed as I was so delighted she'd dictated so much to say, then signed it. However if necessary I can re-create it more or less - but I'm still beating myself up over it as it meant so much at the time.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, packed my lunch bag, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in six, completed Connections with one life lost, eaten breakfast and I'm supping a brew.
I have two peeps from the hospital Therapy Admin Team joining me today and tomorrow - with a view to me training them on the wonders of Community Therapy Admin. I've never trained two at once. I find training one exhausting. Having to think about what I'm doing and put it into words is much harder than just doing it. Heyho I'll do my best. I've even created starter packs of information for them. (P says it's OK training two if they learn at the same speed. 🤞)
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off. Schools are back so no pleasant commute ahead. I wonder if the roadworks are still snarling up the traffic in town?
Two weeks and then I have three days Annual Leave to take. Yayyy.
Have a good day.
