Book 123.sorry,to hear that,I think you are entitled to UC with one home.We are also worked hard for 30 years,to get one home,we literally left little to pay,but we remortgage and withdraw alll money, and bought second bigger place. No one knew that this would happen.
Contact with your bank,do interest only payments, repossession is bad.I was so upset the other days, and wrote that, but I calmed down now, spoken with the bank, they have many options, they even can do mortgage charter,so u pay what u can effort.Do mandatory reconsideration for the UC,with one home they should pay u.SMI loan also they must pay, unless if u have more than 16 k,in savings.
Dont give up,just write them via journal.I am giving up,with them, and don’t care no more.I never took any benefits so probably it’s not for me,and I am not bothered no more.
since I spoken with my bank, and since I switching to the interest only, that makes so easily.
sometimes the answer and help is near and we don’t realize. But I would say this forum is great and supportive,God Bless you alL

It is great that you have some positive, if interim, relief.
I think you will find even more support and advice is available from this forum if you visit the DfW (DebtfreeWanabee) boards and prepare and share your SoA (Statement of Affairs).

Hello,I had a discussion in regards second house, and applying for UC,as currently out of work due to the health issues.Second home was placed on market,as the rates is higher than rent, and it’s not a lot of value. But if we sell it,it will be more than 16k profit.
But it’s a big question IF we sell it,and when is also important. As the help we need right now.
I been given advice from this forum, that if house is for sale (second home),than UC can disregard this as a capital.
Maybe someone knows more information about it.Can you please share the link if you have one, where it says.As I don’t really want to apply without making sure.
Also my second question is,maybe it’s possible to ask UC to help and when house will be sold we can pay them back?
    Kind Regards

If the property is up for sale, a disregard applies for 6 months with discretion to extend further

    https://www.uceplus.co.uk/disregarded-capital

After the property is sold you would no longer be entitled to UC due to having capital above £16k.

You would not need to repay UC received between now and then.

Each UC payment is based on your circumstances for the previous calendar month, known as the Assessment Period.

With the property disregarded you should qualify during each AP while the property is unsold.
The AP when the money hits your bank account is when entitlement would end.

Nobody can reassure you that it will be disregarded in theory.  Its a decision makers decision and they look at your individual circumstances.  How long has it been for sale?  Assume its empty and priced for sale?

The only way to know is to make a claim.

They won't pay you if you don't meet the requirements even if you say you will repay it.

In your previous thread you said you have tenants in the property so I’m unsure if a decision maker would take it seriously that you really want to sell the property.

I can understand this, but the worst that can happen if you apply is they say no.

"Premises person is trying to sell
H2115 Where a person is trying to dispose of premises, they can be disregarded from the calculation of that person’s capital where they are taking reasonable steps to dispose of the premises and those steps have been commenced within the last 6 months.

Is it reasonable to disregard for longer
H2116 The DM may decide to disregard the premises for a longer period where for example the person
has done all they can to sell the premises and the asking price is no more than the premises are worth."

This might have been better kept as a follow-on within the OP's previous thread.
