Thank you for all advices .Yes I completely forgot about the debt advice .But I just thought, and I hope that my husband will recover soon,I pray for it.And those debt organizations, makes us bankrupt, and we will not able even in future to take a phone contract.
I must think carefully,to avoid mistakes.UC be a best option to top up our needs, and we can pay them back when the situation gets better.
as it’s also unfair, people get the smi loan, from universal c

You will not be able to claim UC because of the property you don’t live in. It’s not about paying them back because that’s not how it works.

SMI is just a loan, which you won’t be entitled to because you’re not claiming UC.

Smi loan from UC,people do apply if they struggle to pay their mortgage,I meant it’s good that UC helps the people who loose their job,or going through the difficult time,as it cheaper for them to pay, interest only mortgage rather than rent.
i meant it’s unfair for the people who is similar situation as us,two homes on paper,if we end up selling them,we still need to pay back to the banks. We be lucky if we are coming out with empty pockets, when we sell,as house prices dropped, rates becomes high, who knows we may still will have to pay back to the banks .
I am imagining no homes plus still owe to the banks.
In that case better repossession and go to the rent an apply to UC.
This part of Government Economy must be looked at,as it’s so unwise,to pay three times more ,instead of helping maybe for 6 months or one year

Has your partner gone through a PIP assessment?
Have you applied for funding as a carer?
He had assessment for no reason,as people on this forum said we won’t get UC.I don’t know why UC made him to do assessment, and they said he is not capable for work. Why this performance was needed,to prove that the person is unwell,to give more pain to him?
I can not apply for a carer for my husband as I look after my mum who has dimentia.
i only applied to look after her few months ago, when my husband became unwell.
i must look after my mum no matter if i will get care allowance or not,but when someone gave me advice I thought while situation is unclear I better do.
hope all be improved and I cancel that as well.

His assessment for UC would also have counted for ESA.  I don't know if it still can.

You can claim UC if you try to sell the house you don't live in and have it disregarded as capital.  Otherwise, only non means-tested benefits are your potential options as already said by others.

Regardless, your husband should probably apply for PIP (or ADP depending on whether you live in Scotland or not).  Some extra money, if he's entitled to it, can't hurt.

    May I ask you please,if I will
contact an estate agency and start the selling process,it is not guaranteed when it will be sell.
Do UC will wait until it sold,or they can reconsider our claim. As without even knowing about it,I contacted estate agent last month, and also I wrote that to UC,that I might start to selll this home, but I never know about capital .The reason is why I want to sell it as my mortgage rates are expire soon, and the rate is so high now, almost 6%,I hardly will have any income from the tenants with such rates. So I was thinking to sell last month and I did write that on journal, maybe that’s why the organise a health assessment for him.
Do you think they will wait until house is sold or they can pay us as soon as house will be put on sell?
    Thank you

I am new at the forum, and I am not here to discuss Benefits Policy. We all here for advice, and sometimes people are so devastated, and depressed, and we do write our thoughts as well.

Once the house is up for sale it can be disregarded for 6 months sometimes longer. They will ask for evidence that it’s up for sale.
