/Thanks all, I finally managed to find a link to the DCB Legal "para 3" which I've copied and pasted below:

    3.     Referring to the POC: paragraph 1 is denied. The Defendant is not indebted to the Claimant. Paragraph 2 is denied. No PCN was "issued on 20/03/2023" (the date of the alleged visit).  Whilst the Defendant is the registered keeper, paragraphs 3 and 4 are denied. The Defendant is not liable and has seen no evidence of a breach of prominent terms.  The quantum is hugely exaggerated (no PCN can be £170 on private land) and there were no damages incurred whatsoever. The Claimant is put to strict proof of all of their allegations.

Assume I just tweak this to my own POC?

And does that mean that the defence I posted yesterday evening now gets merged in to Paragraph 2?  or should I keep it in Paragraph 3 along with what I have pasted above?  Sorry, I'm just a bit confused by this is all and want to get it right!  Sorry if I'm being high maintenance!

I would replace your paragraph 3 with that one and change the date. You don't need the story about moving the car.

Thanks all for your help up to now, I think we are almost there!  One last bit of correspondence from DCB Legal.  They have send ma an N180 form (Directions Quenstionnaire), but have also offered me one last chance of a without prejudice chance to settle the claim if I respond quickly.

I'm assuming, and hoping, that the N180 is just a threat to make me settle, and that this will go no further and not end up in court,  Please can someone with more experience advise?

    Thanks!

Well no. This is normal. Seen every time at the early stage you are at, and you were expecting this, surely?

Follow the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread.

thanks.  Have reread through the pinned posts again and 12 steps again, makes more sense when I've not got work stuff battering me from all sides!

I assumed it was normal, from what I have read with other posts, but also wanted to sanity check that in case.  Just wanted confirmation was all.
