Yep, the reason for not receiving a PCN or early letters is almost always due to the keeper's logbook not being updated when you moved.  Is it still wrong?

As for the defence, search the forum for:

    DCB @shahib02

and copy all the others. All the same.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Logbook is correct, car is leased.  They obviously have the right details, they just didn't send anything out previously before the jump to £170.

Check with your lease firm first:

    - when did they provide your details to the PPC and

    - ask what exact address did they supply.

So I've submitted the  AOS now, but I'm not sure what the next steps are.

You should be, because the first 12 steps are in the Template Defence thread.

Over two weeks ago my earlier post told you exactly what comes next and how to do it.
    I wrote on your thread...

To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the AOS guidance.

Thanks for the help so far, I must confess it's a bit overwhelming all of the legal jargon!

Began the AOS process last week and am just about to send the email over the signed defence letter.  Does the text below sound OK?

    Appreciate any comments....

I've edited paragraph two accordingly, and this was my paragraph 3.  I was then going to continue with the rest of the template....

    3. Whilst the defendant was parked at the venue in question whilst the defendant used the leisure centre facilities, the defendant did respond to a tannoy announcement from the Receptionist of the leisure centre, and proceeded to move his vehicle immediately as requested.  There was no mention that a parking charge notice would be issued, even when asked directly.  A little later that day, upon returning to his vehicle, the defendant did not find a PCN notice attached to the vehicle, nor was once received for 4 months, by which time all opportunities to appeal the PCN had expired and the defendant was faced with a large financial penalty and the threat of possible further action.  When the defendant called DCB Legal to discuss the situation further, he was advised that nothing further could be done and payment should be made in order to settle this dispute.  A further letter followed approximately a month later, before the letter from HM Courts & Tribunals Service was received in February 2025.  The defendant find the whole process extremely unfair in that there was no available time or opportunity to appeal the parking charge, and the next steps upon hearing from DCB Legal was legal action.

We recommend you continue with this wording (yes, all of it! Paragraphs suitably re-numbered to allow for the above).

I found that, had a read through it, understood it as much as I could, and completed the defence template letter adding personal details in to paragraph 3 as mentioned above.  I've left all other text in the template letter, I'm not sure what I should and shouldn't remove!

    OK, typo here:

"nor was once received for 4 months,"

And you've overlooked what the Template Defence tells you to put in DCB Legal cases, for para 3. Are the instructions on that unclear?
