Being plastic, a circular saw quickly reduced it to manageable sized chunksArsenal2019 said: I haven’t had a proper mess around with the water tank yet as I’ve only recently moved in. I’ll be sure to have a proper look next time around: fingers crossed it’s empty and disconnected. It is quite large so it would be good to dispose of this and get it down (somehow)

My current loft tank (open vented system) is plastic. However there's a redundant galvanized steel tank in the loft from back when the house had a gas fire with a back boiler. That tank is bigger than the loft hatch and no-one has yet felt like cutting it up!

Insulation. Anything else is just a patch on a problem that will still remain unaddressed.0
