I eventually switched on 4th March.

More than 2 weeks later than the planned date !

Must of telephoned them at least 5 times over the last 3 weeks.  They have always answered their phone after a 15 to 20 minutes wait !

Never had a reply to the 3 emails I have sent !
Well Done persistence pays. Did you get your chosen tariff and rates? Has MyWatts started working for you yet

i'm another on this so called spreadsheet. I wouldn't mind the delay so much if its a genuine problem, but the fact there is no communication whatsoever, and when you call you just get told "the technical team are working on it, you are on the "spreadsheet" and to call back later....isn't particularly confidence inspiring!

My switch was scheduled for 28tb Feb, have have nothing since. So seems I have been using applicances in the middle of the night for zero savings, only reduced sleep. Come on Tomato boss man, sort out your comms and stop leaving new customers hanging... Btw he's on

  • I've just got through to Customer Service and been told that Tomato still have no idea when the 'back-end' issue will be solved! I first 'signed up' on 6th February for a switch on 10 February...perhaps Ishould have been more persistent and called daily! So I now have to make the decision do I wait and pray, or just go with someone else and forgo the cheaper prices...?

Which supplier are you with now? Do they have any better tariffs on offer than your current one?
Have Tomato paid you your "failed switch" payment?

  • I'm with EonNext. They have slightly better tariffs which I suppose I shall have to go with for a while. As I asked the lowly (his word) customer service guy - how long until the switch (considering ive been waiting over a month)? No answer!
No, they havent paid the 'failed switch'. They were suggesting it was the National Database fault/problem until today... now it's their back-end!

I am expecting to be billed in accordance with the rates in my contract.

Mywatts is still not reporting any data,  10 days after the switch !!!    I am downloading my usage each week from Bright so I know what my usage is !

  • Just emailed Farouk Alhassan... the CEO of Tomato. Will he respond? Will we have to get the Ombudsman involved?!

Have they paid you your £80? £40 for the failed switch and £40 for late payment of the first £40?
