Here you go, hopefully done it correctly.

I notice on the rear of the letter "Paying is your legal responsibility"
Not in this case, it is the responsibility of the, unidentified, driver.

As well as "Paying is your legal responsibility" (as you noted on the back) the front says:

"If you fail to make payment a CCJ can be issued against you"

What an appalling misleading letter to even send to a victim in E&W, let alone knowingly send to a recipient in Glasgow.

Thankyou. Great evidence of rogue practice. It even carries Stewart Clure's name. The guy who sat straight-faced in front of the MHCLG Select Committee in 2021, spouting (IMHO) utter nonsense.
    Can not stand Clure

    Not sure tbh!
  • Latest letter is more of the same but with more scary red printing on it.

Presumably it will fizzle out soonish?
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid

Have you checked with local council whether the place your vehicle was parked was not public highway. From looking at Google Street View, Marchburn Drive looks like a public road.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Looking at the local council's (Renfrewshire) list of adopted roads Marchburn Drive is not one of them.

    Oh well.

While it is open though, please do this because more people from Scotland should be replying. Keeper liability is coming your way in a year or so as part of the 2019 Act (giving effect to a new section in your Transport Act) and this Government actually proses to let PPCs carry on charging £170.

    So we must stop them.

    FIGHTBACK ALERT:

Please do the government's Public Consultation. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline.

    See this thread:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6617396/parking-code-of-practice-consultation-now-extended-closes-friday-26th-september/p1

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.

    CLOSES ON FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER.
