As long as a ccj doesn't bother then don't worry
For a lot of people it makes no difference
  • I thought that 28 days remark on the particulars may have been something I could challenge successfully and get the case thrown out but obviously I misunderstood that as another poster explained. That would have been straightforward for me and something within my capabilities.

The defence option is just something I'm unable to process no matter how many times I read through the instructions on how to do it.

I've never used a pc or laptop in my life so I couldn't do a defence on those and same with my phone, I can browse the internet and send emails but anything more complicated than that then I struggle

But you could copy & paste another Moorside Legal defence from last week into a Word doc?  That's all you need to do.

Then you sign & date it, add your name and UKCPS and the claim number in the top headings, save it as a PDF and email it to the CNBC.  We even give you that email address.

You CAN do that.  Or a friend could help.

You don't even have to do the AOS!  As long as you email a defence within days.  Got anyone who could do the copy & paste doc with you at the weekend?

  • Do I have to get a word doc app installed on my phone?

  • I've looked at other moorside defence threads and it's just too confusing for me to understand
Thanks for your patience and help but I'll just take the CCJ on the chin
  • Regarding can I get a friend to help.... I know for a fact anyone I know wouldn't be able to get their heads round this forum and understand how to defend themselves.

    Thanks

    But they don't need to.

You just need someone with Word on a laptop who can copy and paste a Moorside defence.

    Or:

You could just put a slightly shorter defence in directly on the MCOL system, using your phone.

We can help you create a short enough one that will fit in the 'start defence' box.

The clarity with which you write suggests that you are more than capable of defending this claim with help from the knowledgeable people on this forum. Most people find it much easier to use a laptop or tablet for tasks such as editing a document. It really is quite straightforward, and very satisfying, to beat these scammers and chancers.

How about using a computer at a library or job centre?

I share some of your pain, I'm another one who's had countless tabs open on Chrome following threads and links and trying to make sense of it.

It looks daunting but it isn't. After following advice and just a bit of effort, defence done! I ended up writing just one small paragraph myself, that's it.

Saying you just give up and will pay, or take the CCJ on the chin, is a dagger to the heart of the regulars here! They hate these scammers with a passion.

For the love of God don't let them beat you, they'll boast about it on X or facebook or whatever, you'll be in another feather in their cap, another one they took to court and won!
