Money had just been paid in to my account after late mother's account closed after her recent death as the account was below probate limits.
A payment of carer's allowance has also appeared from the 8 week run off period has also appeared in my account, should I be concerned about still getting that run off payment or should I  ring them up and cancel it and pay back what they have sent me?
the carer's allowance people do know mum has died it's just a run off payment

Carers Allowance isn’t means tested so there’s no worry about going over a savings limits or such like. So you are good to carry on.
Do you need to make any new claims for when the run on ends? Universal credit maybe?
    Sorry about your mum x

Hi thank you.I rang them a while back to check about the 8 week run off so see if I could have it as I had used the tell us once service to stop mum's attendance allowance.I would need to have further benefits to survive going forward and I'm quite worried about them knowing I have that money sitting in an account. They would find out as it hit my bank account and since then I have placed it in a sayings account.I would be worried about somebody have a difference of opinion about it 6 months down the road after receiving benefits and then having to pay them all back

The Tell Us Once service is to tell the government about your Mum's death. This will make sure things like State Pension, Pension Credit and Attendance Allowance, if she received, are ended.
Notifying Carers Allowance that you are no longer caring for your mum as they have passed is your responsibility to do separately, as that is a benefit you are claiming as opposed to your mother. As you mention, there is an 8 week run on period for Carers Allowance when someone dies to help you transition away from being a carer at what is a very difficult time for you, rather than just cutting you off instantly. So you will continue to receive Carers Allowance payments for 8 weeks from the date of death. As mentioned above, this is not a means-tested benefit, so you are entitled to receive it regardless of any monies you may receive from your deceased mother, so you should not be worried about having to pay them back.
