Too much white space..

Just FYI - still having to remove double carriage returns - or is it CR/LF (than generates big blank gaps in my posts ) as type to avoid the sort of white space gaps in my posts that I believe @Gerry1 was referring to as an issue. So again this line has a blank line - to separate the paragraphs as I type - from that above and looks like more space than paragraph format spacing between lines - nonsense text continue continue continue - just text to wrap a line within a paragraph. And this line doesn'tCompare looks to this snapshot as it appears when typing
So what is the best way of doing it - just remembering not to put the spare line in ?

If I switch typekit on though - bypassing my script blocker - in this case No Script on Firefox - running on Linux - does it look different ?Edit - yes it doesJust FYI - still having to remove double carriage returns - or is it CR/LF (than generates big blank gaps in my posts ) as type to avoid the sort of white space gaps in my posts that I believe @Gerry1 was referring to as an issue. So again this line has a blank line - to separate the paragraphs as I type - from that above and looks like more space than paragraph format spacing between lines - nonsense text continue continue continue - just text to wrap a line within a paragraph. And this line doesn't0

So seems I either need typekit - or avoid the spare lines. Will check again on an Android tablet/phone browser - normally Chrome as browser instead of firefox - at some point tomorrow.0

It looks wrong in Preview but right when posted. The system also adds lots of line breaks at the end if you've saved several drafts and then made more edits. In Android, switch to 'Desktop site' and touch the </> icon. Then delete all the <br><br> clutter at the end.If a published post looks wrong, you can edit it using the three dots in a circle icon. That's why my posts often show an edit a minute or two later.0

We are currently using a legacy editor which isn't receiving any updates.
We attempted to move to a new editor previously, but had to roll back because of several bugs and differences our members did not like.
The bugs have been fixed, but it's still lacking a 'partial quote' feature, which we're still advocating for and hoping will be considered to be included before we move to the new editor.
