My versa is one of the affected ones. I don’t yet know any impact on battery life because I have not properly tested it but it is still certainly longer than two days.
I paid about 75 quid for it new off eBay. I’ve had it a year so  with the 50 dollar goodwill gesture I consider I’ve had my money out of it even if it dies in the next 12 months. So on that basis, I’m not going to be joining any campaign.
I take the OP point that Fitbit maybe keeping doing this, and if I paid a lot more for my device, I would probably be a lot more miffed, but if people feel so strongly, they probably need to vote with their feet. Fitbit will change what they do when people stop buying their products.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

There will be all sorts of running groups where you could scout for recruits.
Or not, most runners would likely have a Garmin device.
True.  I've switched to Coros after many years with Garmin.  Before that I had a TomTom.
Agreed. Don’t know many serious runners who would entertain a Fitbit. Currently have a forerunner 265s and was almost tempted by a Coros Pace.
  • Hello. I also just discovered this issue. First thing I did was to request the £40 they offered. Then realised I paid £120 for it just over 2 years ago.
I have read online that some people sent it to them to get a refund. What's the course of action people are taking in the UK?
Also, I can confirm battery life has gone down to about 2 days. Last night I charged it fully, today it's already at 60%!
