Cor blimey! Well that's just a little bit depressing, no?? Want to go back to work tomorrow even less than I did a few minutes ago now!
I haven't spent anything yet this year, wahey! Out of my personal money that is. Lovely mortgage managed to come out yesterday even though it was a bank holiday.
We've slashed our personal spends down from £300 to £200 with the extra going into our personal savings. £200 each is what I've budgeted for when I have to give up work for a baby, so we are testing the water to see if it can be done now (I'm not even preggers yet, so plenty of time to mess about with budget). Seeing as we've both given up alcohol, hoping this won't be as bad as what bf fears!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Shopping today at the Super Market…how wonderful…:D
The sweet young thing at the checkout fluttered her eyelids and pouted mischievously … I pouted back… we pouted back and forth for some time…perhaps even longer than that….I whispered cheekily and seductively into her lovely shell like…”I have new trowel”… She retorted….”you’ve also got a big bill…£33.03 big to be precise….thank you very much you cheeky monkey”

Well in fact the first £5225 is tax free, then the following £2150 is charged at 10%, which means you pay £215 income tax on the first £7375 you earn, and this goes for everyone. That means I work for pretty much 6 months for myself before the taxman sees anything more than chump change... then 22% of everything after goes to the taxman.
Of course, it's all pro rata, so check your pay breakdown, see how much goes out in tax per month, and then work out how many hours a month this comes to. I only think of my pay being net anyway. I pay more in National Insurance than I do income tax.
The game I wanted was 99p in my local video game store second hand, and so I bought another for £6.99 which I wanted too. Lunch was £1.99, so I have 3p change from a tenner.Student Loan Company Ltd: 17,805 (2.8%) Overdraft: 500 (Interest free)

Well, I needed to go to the Post Office to send a package back to my old work. Spent about £3.50 and about 45 mins queuing! The dear behind the counter then proceeded to sign me up for a 0& credit card with about 5 million people stood behind me all wanting to buy their road tax and stuff. She just didn't seem to realise just how many people were waiting. Bonkers!
Had a quick shifty round the town and didn't see one thing that I wanted to buy - which I guess is a blessing - but maybe not when I have vouchers to spend.
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -

Took my parents to their appointment at the hospital, they paid for parking. We had a looooooong wait and ended up having a cuppa & a sandwich...mom kindly obliged.....and to top it all off, dad insisted we stop on the way home and I fill the car up with fuel....£22.98 which he insisted he pay for! So, I think I'm in credit today LOL. Oh, I did spend £1.69 on a tube of germolene for my daughter and 50p for a cream canvas cushion cover from a charity shop (to cover the worn seat of my computer chair - and ohhhhh doesn't it look lovely now!) All in all £2.19p (although the fuel puts me into credit as I won't need to fill up next week now!).:jDebt-Free Wannabe by December 2008 :jJan 2008 Grocery Challenge [strike]£400[/strike] £297.40Feb 2008 Grocery Challenge [strike]£320[/strike]£2008 for 2008 Member Number 411 _party_£50 won0
