  • Should be a no spend day for me today! I'm so proud of my self as just had toast for lunch and resisted going to the supermarket - even though I'd been thinking about it all morning!

Can write that down in my new spending diary - well done me! :j

At this rate, you'll have no holidays to take when you need/want them

My point exactly, spud - thanks. They have just phoned and I am working tonight, but they're not sure about tomorrow.

£10.12 in Holland and Barratt (not just 'cos it's January! To stock up cupboards on oats etc). Need to get OH some lunch stuff on the way home also.

On plus side, OH and I stayed in on NYE and saved a bundle :) x

NSD here too hopefully although it is still only midday! Have unfortunately got TWO friend's birthdays this week and this is going to involve 2 meals out (thurs and sat) and a present for one of them. WHat can I buy someone for their 30th without looking cheap?

This is a bit naughty but for our friend's birthday on Saturday we're recycling a few Christmas presents from our relatives...so haven't spent anything on the champers he'll get nor the remote controlled helicopter (yep, that's what he's getting - but he's a boy and he's 30 so he'll be pleased!). Can you do something like that?
