I guess she sees a certain morality in paying something rather than nothing even though that may be for a certain period of time.
There is a certain process to follow to obtain the best outcome for you, leave your morals at the door, this requires you to think outside of the box, and be as devious as no doubt your lender would be if the tables were turned.
You are dealing with a multi million pound industry, geared up to keep you a customer for life, those chains must be broken to get yourself out of debt, and we can help you do that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Like many others I was ashamed and upset about "letting" myself get into debt. I now realise that these are not moral businesses they are quite happy to charge more interest than the original loan, yet say you still haven't paid any off. Your partner is just wrong on this occasion. Your moral duty is to look after her and yourself and your family first.1 -
Thanks guys, I ignored her anyway not paid anything apart from priority bills in March or April.2

Right Zopa have come back to me on my complaint. They have denied the complaint about the first loan said I should have had enough to pay that etc and won’t do anything. I’ll have a think about that as to whether I think it’s fair before whether deciding to appeal. My gut feeling is I may struggle to argue with that hand on heart.Better news on the 2nd they’ve said they didn’t do anything wrong but will default and refund all of the interest paid and remove further interest. This is about 9k. So that’s over 15 I’ve had refunded from the 2 complaints I’ve made all thanks to the great people on this forum.I’m considering making more complaints on the others card debts although will need to review them properly. Thanks so much to everyone for their help so far.0

I had similar with my own Zopa complaint…so thought nothing to lose and raised complaint with ombudsman. It’s live now, but initially the FOS came back asking for more evidence on the basis that they don’t believe Zopa did appropriate checks. So, I’d say put a complaint in…why not??? I’m sitting with fingers crossed for a positive outcome as the interest is around £10k x0

Thank you0

You might as well escalate it to the FOS. It's very easy to do and costs nothing. In the best case you might get a significant refund, in the worst case you've lost 10 minutes of your time.
