No reply from Toyota, what should I do next?

Hi,
I emailed Toyota Financial Services on 5th November 2024 and received an automatic reply from their commissions complaints email address saying that they are checking their records and will come back to me in 8 weeks and I do not need to contact them again. It has been well over 8 weeks and I haven't had a reply. I followed up the email last week and still no reply. Could anyone advise what to do next?
Thanks,
Jess

Could anyone advise what to do next? You do nothing. The complaints process on commissions is suspended pending the FCA report and court cases.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.1 -
Thank you, so will my complaint still be registered despite them not responding?0

Yes. They have acknowledged it and that is all they can do for now.JessWooler said:Thank you, so will my complaint still be registered despite them not responding?
The FCA have said it will reopen the complaints process late this year after they have compiled their report. However, there are ongoing court cases that could see it delayed again until 2026. Plus, the Treasury have now intervened to the Supreme Court with a view to close some of these areas as it believes that the court is mistaken in its interpretation of the law.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Yes and they will side with consumer. I know that won't go down with with "some" here but tuff.0

Not necessarily, the danger of killing the entire finance industry will be sufficient. The nonsense idea a customer who signs a contract and says they have read it, cannot be assumed to have read it and that it's not enforceable is patently wrong - I don't even work in the industry and can see it's a ludicrous judgementLargs said:Yes and they will side with consumer. People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

The FCA has a remit that includes integrity and competitiveness of UK financial services. The FCA was also not against commission. Many people think the courts have got it wrong. So, you cannot assume what the FCA will or will not do.Largs said:Yes and they will side with consumer. I know that won't go down with with "some" here but tuff.

PPI being exposed didn't kill the finance industry. Neither will being honest and upfront with customer about commisions. I won't be writing back any further on this because I am correct but look forward to the day the banks do get their cheque books out yet again and all these refunds BOOM the economy like PPI refunds did. Thank you and good afternoon.Nasqueron said:
