COVERWISE

I have used Coverwise many times for travel insurance and whilst the prices are good there is a reason. Woe betide you if you make a claim! I claimed on 9/10/24. They will do all they can to delay a resolution and make it extremely difficult all along the way. Constantly ignoring information, requesting multiple times the same information. Taking ages to respond and have the nerve to blame it on high volumes of claims!!! Oh so that makes it ok does it. You pay. You claim but don’t expect a payout as we will wear you down eventually so you give up! Speak to us? No chance, put through to a heavily accented USA citizen who insists you are at fault! Was told by Bernard at AXA that even though I hadn’t been to see my doctor since 2012 before this incident I MUST provide 2 years past history!!! He was like a cracked record repeating this and would not listen when I explained how could I? I downloaded and sent the information from an active NHS account from the portal. It is clearly stated it will be accepted. The documentation sent from the NHS portal shows quite clearly that i had not had any medical needs since 2012 until 2024!!! This is ignored and asked for again and again!! Awful Awful Awful..  As of today 6 Feb 25 I have made a complaint 3 weeks ago which has been acknowledged and ignored. Asked 4 more times forthe same information. told on 24th December a resolution will be approved in 5- 7 days. Nothing. They ignore my emails and I cannot gey through othe phone due to "high volume of calls"  Beware this company.

I have used XXX many times for travel insurance and whilst the prices are good there is a reason.
Replace XXX with almost any company, customers buy on price... the vast customers will switch from a household name to an unknown offshore company to save less than £5 a year (the median number is under £1). Against that backdrop cost savings become everything so you get cut down policies and cut down staff numbers.

Perfectly normal to have to provide 2 years evidence for a medical claim, no insurer will simply take your word for it that you haven't seen a medical professional but at least the report is easy for the Dr to do as its a simple no appointments, no medication. That said, give all patents are supposed to have an annual review perhaps the Dr doesn't want to admit they are breaching guidelines with 2 years passed and no reviews.

Needing to see medical information is always needed for medical claims.
For example, you could have said you have no pre-existing conditions when you do, which could invalidate your claim, or you could have some condition that affects the claim.
They have to see this kind of information for medical claims for reasons like that.

Sure if you have uploaded it already, they shouldn't keep asking, but insurance claims are usually pretty low and they always need information such as the medical records.
That isn't a reason to rate a company bad in my opinion as that is something any insurer would need.

My NHS record update clarly shows no medical interventions since 2012. It is dated as such.
And no. My claim has been turned down as it has not even been assessed as my post makes clear.
My grievance is that they keep asking me for the same information that they have already passed and approved. The doctor's report was no problem and I had NO undeclared issues, They are asking for nothing new.

And for DullGrey Guy  "In the UK, a GP is required to conduct an annual review for patients with long-term conditions, also known as chronic diseases, meaning they must regularly assess and manage conditions like diabetes, heart disease, asthma, and more, with an annual review being a key part of this process; however, not every patient will need an annual review, depending on their health status."
I have NO long term health conditions whatsoever and never have had.
