February 2025 Grocery Challenge

Just finished adding up the final February spends and total for the year so far is £229. I bought a bulk order of meat which will save money in the long run. The jury is still out on how much I have saved with Lidl, but their wash pods are certainly cheaper and I have enjoyed the free cakes/ pastries even if they are not the healthiest. I got a cauliflower for my free veg, so does that cancel out the indulgence?Increasing my step count by swiftly hopping over to March.Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget5

As I have previously mentioned my month runs midmonth to midmonth, end of week 2 for Feb was on Friday and under budget again woo hoo! £122.21/£130. Will see you all on the March thread.6

I'm ending the month on £633.97/£500 so quite a bit over budget. More than I expected but it was half term and we ended up needing to buy supplies at the hospital due to an unexpected 2 night stay for my son. He's fine now thankfully. I'll see you in the March threadGrocery Challenge 2024

We had quite a low spend this month, not sure what happened
So I dont usually include dog food but am going to this month which was £26.59.
Declaring at £284.96 spent.
hoping for the same results in march but I won’t hold my breath5 -
I seem to have lost track of what I've spent in February.
I know the last spend was £5.98 on 2 jars of chicory drink in Holland and Barrett on Friday the 28th of February.
I'm still in budget, and like others my food budget runs mid month to mid month.Decluttering campaign 2023

£9.54 spent at M@rrisons (I had a hospital appointment, shopping here is rare).
I picked up two 4packs of Linda McCartney burgers on clearance at £1, one pack of 'chicken' burgers (£1.75), Pure buttery (£1 with Shopmium) so actually this will be less), and avocado (49p). I can't remember if that was everything
Then 84p at W@itrose on two samosa spice packs on YS.
So, £10.08, but I will amend according to what I saved with Shopmium once it tracksGC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £134.25/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. I did post some spends in the wrong month, but I've added my totals up accordingly.
It's was a Just Eat spend with 50% off and £20 off code.
It came to £12.59.
I spent something else this day but I can't remember what. Its been added to signature anyway!GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £134.25/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Bought yet more cat food today 😭, so whilst in B and M also got :
3 x stroopwaffels ( been looking for these for ages, so got my two DDs and I one each) £3.54
3 x packs of coconut rings ( also vegan and haven't seen them anywhere else) £1.00
Black pepper £1.00 ( can't believe the same size everywhere else is £2.30 plus)
Flapjack (as the time i was out clashed with dinner) 29p
4 pack of Saveloy (going to see if GDD will eat these) £1.29
Then I got £1.15 off a spend from Shopmium aswell. So, although you have to reach ten pound to withdraw.I will deduct it
£7.12 - £1.15 = £5.97 to add to signatureGC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £134.25/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. @K9sandFelines what size was the black pepper and are they peppercorns or ground pepper? I’m looking for peppercorns in a bigger sized packages and it’s hard to find them in my town. There’s a B & M next to my Tesco superstore so I can stop in there next time I make a Tesco run on foot vs. ordering online.2
