Another £35.08 spent yesterday, which brings my total for the month to £141.39/£600. We’re going to a local farmers market on Saturday, which will likely bump up spends if the regular vegan stalls are there, along with the veg stalls 😊10

A biggish spend for us this morning with a Tesco delivery costing £43.09. Had lots of basics to replace from my January Pantry challenge last month but still we have good stocks in the freezer etc to go into February so I'm hoping to have another underspend to go into my May holiday food pot.
Really trying hard to scratch cook everything including snacks and treats this month as we did last month. Wanting to try some more recipes from the Recipe Collection at the beginning of the thread.
Does anyone have a tried and tested coconut cake recipe?

Really trying for a NSD today. I have enough food in the house but I know if I stray into a supermarket I'll buy buy buy, so planning a stay-at-home day!

Well I've started with a bang as I've a supermarket delivery arriving later today which comes to £115.14. I'm aiming for that to be my only big shop for the month though and just to buy top ups of fresh stuff as and when I need it for the rest of the month. I won't need anything else for at least a week and then we'll be halfway through the month so being nearly halfway through the money won't seem so bad.

MissRikkiC said:All this talk of carrots too which coincides with me googling what are horse carrots having seen cheap nets of them twice this week. Does anyone use these in place of supermarket carrots?
But if you're making industrial quantities of carrot soup and prepared to spend time sorting through the carrots and making up for the deficiencies in taste etc, I suppose they would be ok.2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used
