I was going to wait until Sunday to update my signature so that it was a full year from the first one, but I am too impatient and not much will change between now and Sunday.
I think I'm going to start including the £100 I have in PBs as part of my Emergency Fund, even though it was a Christmas gift. I think I might use PBs to store the funds once my regular saver has matured, or once I feel I have enough in cash savings. I need to get the EF back to a grand, but it really needs to be a lot more than that. 1k is my first goal (again).
My credit card debt is under 17k, down from 20k a year ago (20411.34 - 16,594.26) so £3,817.08 paid off those.
My loan is down from 10684 to 7880 - so £2,804 paid off that, including £324 overpayment.
I'll focus on overpaying one of my credit cards from now til July when 0% ends.
Once (if) I start my new job I will use the car allowance to pay off my car loan (from a friend), until my current car dies or becomes unsafe to drive long distances.
I'm doing a second job for 3 afternoons at the end of January, and I start my new job with a pay rise in February. That should help.

Well done on paying off nearly £8,000 in a year.I hope you receive a reply on Monday about the new job.3

Thanks @itsthelittlethings
@Cara_ so do I, as my current job will be advertised on Monday 😬
We have a light dusting of snow here today, the chickens aren't sure what to make of it. Their coop door was frozen closed this morning. The roads are too bad to take the dogs for a run at a farm so I'll be trying to find ways to tire the 4yo out at home.
The poor girls (chickens not dogs) are still laying so I'm thinking hash browns and eggs for lunch to use up another potato or two.
I bought some pork that was on offer so that might be tonight's meal. I need to decide whether to roast the whole thing then freeze some of the sliced cooked meat, or cut it in half and freeze half to cook in the future.Debts 04/01/25 02/01/26

Love the graph! That's a huge amount paid off, well done!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Thanks @jwil I love my graph too! I did them for each quarter then did one big one for the year.
I had potatoes for lunch (saag aloo) and potatoes for tea (pork roast dinner), and used up some carrots and parsnips too.
The rest of the pork has been sliced to use over the next few days.
I've used my mini chainsaw to chop some logs that were too big for the log burner.
I've put stuff on olio and decluttered a few more things.
The weights and yoga mat are out of the cupboard ready for use.

Well done on paying so much off in a year 🥳 The graph must be very motivating.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

That graph is a thing of beauty 😊, it’s great seeing your hard work paying off. Your diary just takes you through the rollercoaster ride as you show both sides of the debt payoff and the tough moments that come with it. You’re doing great5
