i've just caight up with your whole diary over the lasr few days - what a fantastic ride! Ups downs, twists and turns. Through it all our plucky heroine battled away. I'm not surprised you need a rest and feel a bit meh over Twixtmas. I had meh times paying down mydebts too years ago. Just hold course you are doing brilliantly.
One question - are you pleased with the new blind and redecorated cloakroom or is that still on the to sort list?https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6621582/ynab-robber-needs-help-to-execute-the-plan/p1

You've made huge strides this year, and all will be well. Don't worry about the job, either it will be fine or you'll say 'this isn't working in the way I hoped, what can we do to resolve this'.
Pour yourself something nice, put on a bit of vinyl, and admire the beauty of bleak midwinter. I'm currently gazing out the window at the soft pink and hazy grey sunset, with the dark silhouettes of the bare trees, the ice on the rooftops, the occasional bird flying past, and the smoke coming from chimneys (okay steam from central heating but I'm painting a scene here 😂)https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1

Steam or smoke? They’re the same thing I’m sure.

You poor thing @Wanna_Bee_Free ! I hope you at least had good snacks. Nobody can accuse me of sugar coating the debt free journey, it's hard going and I'm definitely honest about that, and aaalllllll the emotions that go along with it. Sometimes many in the same day 😂
I'm still a little bit bugged by the blind not being centred, but I love the green and love all the plants being in there. It's probably 95% finished, just 2 tiny plant pots to buy and some tidying up of the paint job. I'm using it everyday at the moment because my ensuite shower is still broken.Debts 04/01/25 02/03/26

That sounds beautiful @PennysIntoPounds !
I think I'm going to try the jam doughnut ale. I've bought lots of snacky food for myself, and I'm contemplating painting a living room wall with the music on loud to distract the dog from the fireworks.
I've sent an informal email to the boss just to check my understanding in the absence of anything written. He's out of office til Monday but I feel better for having sent it.Debts 04/01/25 02/03/26

I had to Google that, it sounded familiar but I couldn't quite place it. I'll add it to my painting playlist for this eveningSlowdown said:

Morning (I know it's afternoon but I'm still in bed)! Today I need to give the dogs a decent walk, finish painting the living room wall (anthracite over magnolia - many coats needed), and give the house a bit of a tidy. I think I'm going to take the Christmas lights lights off the stairs and window.
I have my big shop being delivered this evening, and I picked up some olio stuff yesterday. That included about 14 large (baking) potatoes, to go with the 3 bags of 15p potatoes I already had. So basically every day through January I need to eat potatoes 😂
I'm writing a potato based meal inspiration list on my fridge. Quite looking forward to patatas bravas with some home grown tomato sauce from the freezer!
I'm going to check if I've moved all the money to the various pots but I'll save my weekly finance check til tomorrow.
Sunday will be my official one year anniversary of debt busting! I'm excited to tally up the final figures!Debts 04/01/25 02/03/26
