I know it can be a disappointing feeling when you are having to dip into that emergency fund, but as others have commented, it isn't like you are using it to fund a spending spree, you are using it for exactly what it is designed for. It is important at times to sit back and look at how much progress you have made and emergencies are different for each individual. Well done on the no debt Christmas.2

I've had a lovely day, best Christmas in ten years! I finally managed to get a solo no-demands no-driving Christmas Day!
I had a lie in. I had Bailey's and shortbread for breakfast. I took the dogs for a long walk, I watched a robin in my garden (pinching my chooks food, but he waited patiently nearby for the chickens to finish their breakfast). I ate all of my favourite food, watched a film, had a nap, watched some comedy, ate more food, and now I wrapping presents with the record player on. Delightful!!
I'll do the family stuff tomorrow.
I hope everyone had a lovely day too
Forgot to add - in a nod to the MSE Advent I wore a shirt belonging to my grandad which I've never worn before, and opened a bottle of my nans perfume and wore a squirt of that. I also read @Tezzadp 's update before I ate my lunch as if it was the King's speech.Debts 04/01/25 02/01/26
