Blinking 'ell time is unkind to us all eh?! Sorry to hear about all you health worries x

Looking forward to the trickling through of old and new friends

Sweet relief I managed to get through a few outstanding things yesterday and today  I have a study day and off Thurs/Fri, Monday was a particularly stressful day!

    Today:

    * all meals from stores - I have one container (2 portions) of bolognaise left from the last batch, will grab it out of the freezer for dinner. Have I shared for the last few weeks we've been doing something new. We make a bit batch of something then have it in varies guises for the next 3/4/5 days. It's been brilliant. Something to use up what's in the fridge. It's been helping both in terms of food waste and gc and also time. Highly recommend!
    * maybe NSD, but I've asked a friend if she wants to grab a coffee so maybe not
    * wfh (study) so take it easy, potter around doing a few things while reflecting on what I've learnt ;) might listen to a podcast or webinar on something
    * hang up the washing! Prob need to rewash it at this point...
    * make gd2 a birthday card (have I bleeted on about mentioned I'm doing a NS year?) and get up in the loft to see if there's anything up there that'd be nice to give as a gift
    * check bank
    * do expenses/overtime claim

Ok that's all. Have a lovely day guys

    Morning folks,

Thanks for your kind wishes all :)

I'm in the office today but there are no bosses in hahahaha. House situation is progressing well from our side but found out on Monday that we're 2 months in and the vendors haven't even put an offer in yet which is very frustrating. Because of OH's op later in the year, we need to be settled before the autumn so if we haven't completed by the time our mortgage offer runs out (first week of June) then we will pull out of the sale.

I didn't do stretching yesterday but I did go for a nice 4 mile walk to burn off some nervous energy.

Work is a tough one this couple of weeks. I can't really say too much but I have been railroaded into a task that I do not feel that I am competent to do. We are absolutely winging it and it's not a task that you can get wrong. I have said numerous times that I do not want to do it, yet it has happened and I am cross and upset.

    MSE things:
    :cookie: charge phone in work
:cookie: brought lunch in with me, dinner from pre-batched food at home
:cookie: ring the "black gold" manure man to see if he can do a drop for my allotment this weekend
:cookie: OH out to a comedy gig tonight as a freebie, courtesy of his brother
:cookie: Should be going to the gym tonight with my friend

Just a normal day here really! Have a good one all

Sorry to hear about the work stress on top of everything else @carrielovesfanta
Not much doing here today. So far I have hoovered the middle floor, cleaned the main bathroom and washed up. Also scooted down to the post box to post a birthday card. A friend is supposed to be calling round today to pick up some plants at some stage, and we are supposed to be going to a pub quiz tonight. Could do without that, except DD2 and DS also go, so a good chance to catch up with them. The quiz will be free this time, as we had winnings last time which will cover it, but I will probably get some drinks (usually just coffee for me :D
I might sort out the new bird feeders later as it isn't currently raining.
Bird feeders done. The squirrel demonstrated that it wasn't phased by the changes, hanging upside down to help itself from the small seed feeder :D
OH dismantled the old bird table so that the wood can be used to light the stove.
A friend came round this afternoon. The wife of one of OH's former colleagues has died sadly, and he came to pass on details of the funeral etc :(

Work today (boo). Hoping for a busy day as it gets very boring if nobody comes into the shop. It will also be freezing, and if it is busy, the rushing around takes one's mind off it. Also hoping for a less annoying day than last Friday (when I was there last), when all the annoyingest customers in the universe descended, either in person or on the phone, into our little shop :D
    Apart from that:
I cut up a sad looking apple from the fruit bowl for breakfast fruit.
I will clean up the kitchen before I go..
I will go a bit early to recycle soft plastics in the container at the supermarket.
I will take my lunch with me.
Easy and cheap dinner, pesto pasta with home grown / made pesto from the freezer.
I don't need to spend anything today :)
    Have a good one everybody!

    Morning all,

I feel so tired today, like I've been wrung out. Hopefully not coming down with something!

Today is not a thrifty day as the car is in for its MOT and service. The service should be paid for already by our service plan (I say should - the last payment was in June last year but the service is now), but we def need at least one new tyre and probably some new brake discs too. On the plus side, we have money saved towards these things thanks to MSE and all of you DFW's!

    Other things today:
    :cookie: Dinner from batched food
:cookie: Work normally treat us to lunch from a local cafe on a Thursday
    :cookie: Charge phone in work
:cookie: Try and limit screen use today - my eye is all twitchy. Pity I work at a computer but oh well...
    :cookie: Reusable period products
:cookie: Ask OH to put washing outside - it'll give it a freshen up if nothing else

    Have a good one all

  • Morning my trusty friends  <3

I am now off work until Monday  B)<3B) Unbound joy!

    Things I have:

    * I did a meal plan and a shopping list - meals for the week are: a mexican spread (shredded beef, a veggie bake, corn salsa and roast veg) and a veggie Thai coconut soup. Have I told you how much I'm loving cooking twice and eating all week?! Saves time, headspace, money!

    * made a pear, date and hazelnut spread crumble to us up: pears, dates and some hazelnut spread that madam decided wasn't to her pallet! Cooked in the Ninja

    * made packed lunch for madam using Olio thin and batch made nut roast

    * Listened to my audiobook while pottering around tidying up

    * used homemade washing detergent and dishwasher detergent

    * chopped up banana skin for the compost

    * watched a webinar from social work england while doing the baking

    Still to do:
    * meeting up with friend and going to a clearance warehouse to mooch around
    * do my expenses and ot claim - must do today!
    * Think I will hang washing on the line. Sun is out!
    * exercise - workout from youtube
    * picking up a wooden train track and dinosaur set from a Buy Nothing Group.
    * made a birthday card for dg2's birthday - 5 today!  <3
    * going out for dinner this evening to celebrate
    * read book this evening for entertainment
    * might go GC shopping as I am having a spend day anyway. Hmmm we'll see....

Ok that's me! Hope you all have a lovely day x

    Emotional rollercoaster.
3 new tyres and brake pads front and back, discs at the front  :grimace: (although thankfully the money is all allocated)
Vendor wants to work towards a completion date of 17th April :relieved: - although this is past the end of our tenancy, I will request to extend by a month. If not, well, a month isn't so bad to find alternate accommodation.
