I'm proud of myself, first time in about 5 years that I haven't gone overdrawn or used a credit card.
All paid for cash I have saved through the year.
And I still had money in the bank on pay day.Mfit member no 13 original balance £44000

Hi,
didn't use CC - yippee. Will use in Jan for a v. expensive trip to a v. expensive restaurant, but will pay off easily with extra income at end of Jan.

No extra debt this year, and best of all I had £50 left over from my Christmas/New Year budget
which I am going to pay £25 off my credit card debt and put the other half into my "nice things" budget for the year.
Feeling kinda smug....sorry!

I had my first MS Christmas this year - saved between £30 and £50 a month from about April, stocked up on freebies, samples and comp prizes, then took a couple of days of work in Nov for relaxed Christmas shopping.
Did lots of overtime at my second job and feel sooo much better having almost all my Dec wages to myself (i.e. to pay bills) and no nasty surprises in Jan.DEBT FREE! Sep '08/£9,800 in Oct '06 :beer:0
