My Cheap Energy Club result is always rubbish

They have not replied to my latest complaint.
Not sure if they are conducting a lengthy investigation or just too embarrassed by their mistake.
My current tariff gas 6.256 per kWh, but they used 5.398 !!!!

In my first attempt to reply to Baldeagle, the cursor was put in the quote box - confusing! - maybe a bug?bob2302 said:
I don't think it's cryptic or meaningless, it's telling you your reply wasn't long enough. It doesn't know that you put it in the wrong section, you are allowed to edit the quoted text, so the software just sees an empty reply. Every forum I've ever seen has a similar restriction.rufford155 said:
Thanks Bob, I'll try to be more careful then.bob2302 said:
Most likely you typed into the wrong area, leaving the reply area empty. There seems to be a bug in the forum software; if you type into the correct area, but backspace through it, the reply area disappears altogether, and the only way to get it back is to undo the backspacing.rufford155 said:I struggled to post that last comment 'cos it kept saying "Body is 9 characters too short" !!!!!
Anybody know what the heck that means ?
The odd bug is understandable but to give you a cryptic, meaningless warning is unforgiveable.0 -

An IT engineer I knew years ago used to refer to those as ID 10 T errors too - I always quite liked that one! 😂debitcardmayhem said:

the easiest fix for accidentally dropping the cursor into the quote box then not being able to get it out again is to hit the little </> symbol, plonk the cursor at the end of the block of text, hit return twice then type as normal. when you hit that little symbol again, as if by magic, everything will be where it should be.It’s an easy mistake, and we’ve all done it, hence knowing the fixes!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

GOOD NEWS AT LAST ! They have corrected my current rates and annual total on the Cheap Energy Club.
But they have not replied to my email pointing out their error.
No thanks and no apology - how rude ! Embarrassment ?
Makes me wonder how many other folk have had wrong results.0 -
Hi @rufford155 - so far as I can see, our team did reply to your most recent email a week ago, so perhaps it may be worth checking your spam folder in case it has gone there?Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Hi James, My apologies if you are correct. But my last email to 'Beth from MSE' was on 26/01 and I have received nothing since. I have carefully checked my inbox, my wife's inbox, the junk folder and deleted items. I have checked my account details and my email address is correct in there. Can I ask for that email to be sent again? Thank you.MSE_James said:Hi @rufford155 - so far as I can see, our team did reply to your most recent email a week ago, so perhaps it may be worth checking your spam folder in case it has gone there?0 -

Energy Club from MSE is for all intents and purposes equivalent to my BG Fixed Lighter 12M v3 charge for year.
Usage 6500kWh Gas & 1560kWh Electric.
This tariff is at least £56 per annum cheaper than the next best EDF Energy Simply Tracker tariff.
Generally £96 oer annum cheaper than most other tariffs.0 -
Quote from today's weekly email : "He does this annually for transparency, as it was his public pledge when he sold MSE (though he's still the boss!)."born_again said:

But he still writes on the weekly email and I reckon he still has a controlling influence.QrizB said:born_again said:If you want to make ML aware, & he no longer owns this site, he sold it off for 6 figures. Then post on his X account.Eight figures, if memory serves?Either way, it's no longer his train set.
And he calls his wife Mrs MSE and his child Mini MSE !
He surely still has a role and even a job title, I think, and probably an office within the organisation.
Maybe not his train set but he's still nurturing his baby !
