I would send them a pretty strong snottogram saying what I said.
Be equally strong at Mediation; the Equality Act gives you an absolute defence IMHO.
And they have no chance now with a 5 minute rule case that even Will Hurley says is unfair!
Stop being scared - do as advised, CONFIDENTLY!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ha thanks coupon-mad, that's made me laugh. I posted my message on here this morning, but just now I've had an email saying they intend to proceed. Their directions questionnaire is attached to the email. It also asks me to contact them if I would like to settle, in the next 7 days.
It's also still not clear if the 5 minute rule is what they are saying I've done - maybe they are still intent on saying I entered the incorrect details (definitely not true, but I no longer have my ticket. I do have previous ones though which show I do know how to do this correctly.) Many of the responses on the trust pilot reviews say this about the carpark, that they've been accused of incorrect info adding when purchasing a ticket.2 -
Keying errors are also likely to be unrecoverable, as held by HHJ Pema who refused a parking firm's application to appeal a case they'd lost where the person paid but there was a typo, or system failure.
If you search the forum for HHJ Pema you'll find his order refusing an appeal and explaining why there's no case to pursue a paying driver for 'making a typo'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi @Coupon-mad,
I've not received my directions questionnaire yet. DCB have completed theirs and sent it to me via email 27th Feb. Is this a problem? Has mine perhaps gone awry?
Thanks.0 -

Hi @coupon -mad, will do. Anyway, I can scrub that question - it arrived in the post today!
The effort and worry these PCNs bring, I absolutely understand why people cave in.......
I won't, but it is shocking what angst they cause with this, and just the time and effort it takes when you are unfamiliar with the legal world. If it wasn't for this forum and the help freely given I would not have a clue.1 -
I've had several missed calls from DCB legal (they ring whilst I'm at work). No message left and no email contact instead. I wonder if anyone has experience of this and what the conversation included? I wonder whether calling back is a good idea or not. Feels like not at the moment.
For update, I'm at the stage where questionnaires have been filed by both parties.0 -
Happens in every case, block them, no contact, dont answer, just ignore them1

Thanks for the response, appreciate that. Understood.0
