I go to their website not logged in and see ISAs listed. I attempt to start to open one and it asks me to log in whereupon I can't get any further.

Is it the case that Shawbrook won't let you open an ISA when you already have one?

EDIT I've since discovered that they won't allow you to have more than one Cash ISA in any tax year BUT I was proposing to open one by transferring in from another provider using funds from previous years - I wonder if they'd let me do THAT!?
Odd, I’ve  opened a two and three years isa  with them in the past few weeks all ok
If you are still within the 14 days cooling off period for the 3 year ISA then ring them up and ask to be upgraded to issue 62 which has gone up to 4.42% from 4.37% issue 61. I was just within the 14 days and they have upgraded me.

@fuzzzzy - how did they upgrade your ISA?  Did they just change the issue number on your existing ISA or did they open another account?

If the latter, have they issued a closing statement?

They just changed the issue number and interest rate on the existing ISA account - no new account opened.

Update on my attempt to transfer from my Coventry ISA to Shawbrook. Short version - still waiting.

Shawbrook opened the two ISA accounts I requested ( 1yr and 2 yr ) but they remain unfunded. I have messaged both Shawbrook and Coventry and we seem to be going round in circles. Coventry asked for details, then said they have not received a request from Shawbrook for an ISA transfer. I have asked Shawbrook for clarification. They say Coventry have not responded to their request and asked if I want them to make the request again.
I normally have good service from both Shawbrook and Coventry so this delay is disappointing.
To complicate matters, the rate on one of the ISAs has been exceeded by a newer issue, but Shawbrook say they can't just change it, I need to cancel the request to transfer funds into it , open the better one and make a new request. I am waiting for the first one to happen on the 1 yr but given this poor performance I am not openeing a new one yet. I want to get one sorted first, by which time another bank may have a better offer.
I am only moving from Coventry becasue of the £85K limit.

    OP here

I sent Shawbrook a secure message and they opened me a new ISA after I'd replied confirming what I wanted

I am having similar problems, trying to open a 1yr fix ISA which when opened I will transfer my easy access ISA funds in to. However applying through the website doesn't work and says send a secure message. I was informed that there is a problem with their new website and that they could do it by hand over secure message. Not thrilled by that, I would rather be in full control of the application and process and not relying on a slow replying messaging chat. Tempted to just go with another provider who's website will permit me to open the ISA myself online.

They were pretty quick with me, of course you're unlikely to get it done over the weekend.  I was happy to wait to get the interest rate but it was all done and dusted in 2 days

If you are in a rush then call them.  IME messaging has a 3 day turnaround but longest I have waited on the phone is 5 minutes.
