Take weekly or monthly readings and keep a spreadsheet updated with your current tariff rates and daily standing charges to work out how much you should be paying. That way you can use it to scrutinise any bills you receive.
Going forward I will, but I'm not sure I can do that retrospectively unless I use the meter readings I've put in but there were multiple tariffs this year. I suppose Octopus can tell me the different tariffs I have been on.

Octopus would normally generate a bill whenever you submit a meter reading. How have you been sending them? Via the app/website or by email?
Does your recent bill include all the meter readings you've given them for the past year?
To answer the second part of the question, no it doesn't look like the bill includes any of my meter readings apart from one I gave early Jan 2025

If you still have a record of the readings you submitted (especially if they're showing on your account!) you can ask for a corrected bill. It's unlikely to save you much (and might even increase the bill slightly) but it will at least be more accurate.

It's not, because I've not received any bills for the entirety of 2024. So the bill I have just received doesn't show the different tariffs I have been on throughout the year. According to Octopus I have been on different tariffs (3 or 4, I can't remember what he said)

The compensation you've been offered is reasonable for the level of hassle with the billing system IMHO. If you do raise a formal complaint, then that would be an opportunity to get them monitoring your account to make sure you are being billed monthly or whatever interval you would like to submit manual readings.
Going forward, if you submit a reading and fail to receive a bill within a few days you could chase at that stage.

I would try using Your user area on Octopus website.

Clearly sounds like something has gone wrong. As submitting a bill online usually generates either same of next day.

    That sounds odd.
Normally when there's a tariff change, you'd get billed up to the date of the change on the old tariff and after that date on the new one. Even where thee aren't any actual meter readings, the supplier will estimate a reading for the date of the changeover.
If you don't have this shown on your bill, it's unusual.
What's the name of your tariff? Is it Flexible Octopus, or something else?

Have they every billed you automatically? Could this be a failure to agree opening readings stopping the billing.
