Thanks @Sun_Addict and @jwil , appreciate your comments.
There's still discussions going on around salary (and the fact that this wouldn't include this year's salary increase when that is agreed…) but we'll get there. Advocating for myself is uplifting but also so very very daunting.

Ok, so I am procrastinating, a lot! I didn't do my weekly plan properly for this week (thankfully I have enough meals planned to keep food on track) and I'm just overall very emotional atm (might be an age thing!) which has knocked me off balance. But, no excuses…
So, this morning I have journaled, which I have been very poor at recently. I have noted that my daily goals aren't being achieved and I am slipping on my annual goals (I set quarterly targets to keep me on track and maintain motivation). So, proactive action will take place today;
- Wash and cut strawberries, carrots and watermelon and pop in fridge for DS and I to snack on
- Pulled pork recipe needed so that I can pop the joint I've bought into the SC tomorrow
- Meal prep red thai curry and some mash (to put alongside sausages) for the weekend as we have a busy few days ahead
- Update budget
- Update weekly plan so I am clear on what, where and when
- Upper body and interval (bike) workout to be completed as soon as I finish work - no sitting down!
- Read during my lunch break rather than check emails and socials
- 2l water (already drank .6l this morning)
- Digital declutter phone (looking to review all January photos from across the years)
I've also on track to record another 1lb average off this week if I can maintain the last two days' weigh ins… that would make 3lb so far this year (slow and steady this time…).
I hope everyone is having a great week,
Wendy x

This is the recipe I use for BBQ pulled pork. Really tasty and goes a very long way! I actually did this for Christmas one year instead of the usual roast pork!
https://www.slimmingworld.co.uk/mums/recipes/barbecue-pulled-pork
It's also a healthy version as long as you can remove most of the fat before cooking.

Thanks @joedenise, I'd already found the recipe yesterday and the pork is in the SC as we speak - the recipe looks good though so I'll bookmark it for next time :)
@I_Love_comps, thank you - I do love the Tr1p drinks, the flavours are lovely. Pricey for the amount you get but if I'm driving and attending a meal or party over at a friends I will buy them, or occasionally I will buy them if they are on offer. I also like to make a soft drink in a wine glass so you get the feeling of having a drink without the alcohol. I know having a few drinks a week is also impacting my weight loss so something I need to review again - thanks for the prompt

Yesterday was a much more productive day, which is great.
Woke up this morning feeling a bit sick and had a headache…tried to read for a bit but couldn't concentrate so as soon as it started to get light outside I took myself off out for an hours walk. I feel a little brighter than I did and got some fresh air too.
Today is a busy day with some personal tasks to fit alongside work but already getting my exercise in, journal is done and I've spent 10 mins digitally decluttering also. The pulled pork is already in the SC so just some potatoes and veg to prepare later, which doesn't take long.
Feeling a little less meh than I have done recently, which is a relief :)
Budget-wise… all on track as DS and DH are out today and they did spend a little yesterday too but I knew this would be the case with half term so had budgeted accordingly, it's nice for them to spend time together, having fun. Tomorrow they are having a quiet film day as it is meant to rain.
DH has had an emailing advising the D1sn3y+ is increasing to £140 a year! I fell into the trap last year as I wasn't aware it was an annual payment (we paid £59 the year previous), but I am adamant that I won't be paying anywhere near that this year. DH and DS watch it a lot, both together and separately and we don't pay for $ky or VM so can warrant some cost here, but not £140! Need to look into how I can get this cheaper this year, it's due at the end of March so this is a task for this week.

I get disney plus for free through the club lloyds bank account. There's a monthly fee for the account but it's waived if you send enough through the account each month.

@jwil thank you - this did come up when I looked yesterday. I've never switched banks (I know Martin recommends it as it's free cash) as I have 4 accounts with the same bank and I can easily move money around for different pots and savings, I can see everything in one screen. Perhaps it's time for a rethink though…

Yesterday was a good day, I think exercising, reading and generally getting up earlier and taking time for myself before the rest of the house wakes really sets the tone. I've done the same today, 50 mins of exercise done (strength and cardio) and an hour of reading too.
Got quite a bit to do today for work to try and get ahead before the weekend but will take it slowly and not rush.
This weekend we have no plans, which is amazing. I'm going to get the little greenhouse out from the side of the house and give it a clean ready to put the potted seeds into it… also need to pot the seeds that I've bought first… Just going to take things slow this week, all part of trying to regulate a nervous system that is constantly in stress mode.
Still massively failing on the water front so need to hit that daily goal today…one bottle down already due to the exercise :)
I hope everyone has a great day and a lovely weekend
