Quite honestly they don't sound fit for purpose so therefore the fact that it is more than 28 days seems to me to be irrelevant.

@jwil - I do, I did think that, but it's over the 28 days. I think I will go and speak to them, at least make sure they say no rather than assume :)

I hope you are feeling better?
It's worth a shot, at least you will have tried.

I'm better than yesterday thank you :)

First day of leave and I've started with a chores day as DH is out at football and DS is tired from a sleepover last night so he just wants to 'chill'.

Got 3 hours of free electricity today so focused on washing, drying and hoovering. Got 3 lots of washing done, all downstairs hoovered too. I deep cleaned the living room including hoovering and cleaning the sofas and washing the cushion covers, and also decluttered a drawer and the kallax unit that holds my books and DH's jigsaws - organised a lot into a black bag for the bin (mainly things in the drawer) and donations but still have quite a bit left - I need to get reading these books so I can donate them :)

The declutter day later this week will concentrate on upstairs as we have lots of drawers that need to be reviewed.

Homemade spinach and ricotta cannelloni for dinner tonight, looking forward to that :)

That's what I was going to say. Faulty goods isn't the same as a refund or exchange policy

  • Today is an admin and chill day, though we did watch DS play football this morning.

Watched a film with DS this morning as we were up early, we've just had a late breakfast / early lunch and now time for some admin, Xmas shopping etc but we all watch a film later, snuggled up under the blankets as the weather is awful.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend :)

We capitulated and turned on the aga (electric) so that is on for winter now. When Mr Sl got home from an overnighter following an all-day meeting of his club reps yesterday lunch time, he observed how lovely it is to come into a warm house!

Day three of leave and I got up at 7am (body clock is still an early riser even when I don't have to be). I relaxed with a coffee, tackled the massive ironing pile (2 hours!!) which is now empty, went for a long dog walk and just helped a family member with an issue which requires some admin to be completed (I am their POA and carer), further call to be carried out tomorrow but for now I think everything is in order (super glad that I am organised and can retrieve useful documents for them fairly quickly, as this has helped the anxiety I feel every time there is something to process, not sure why it is just how I am).

This afternoon I am going to relax, watched a film or read a book. Tomorrow I will continue on with my list of jobs, with some fun activities planned towards the end of the week :)

Lovely couple of hours relaxing, had a bath and ordered an online click and collect for the morning. I did some research, without getting into a rabbit hole, and wondered if I should opt for more organic produce, it’s generally pence more for some staples. Has anyone delved into this and can share any insight?

Lots of fruit, veg and meat ordered, though we have a lasagne in the freezer that was made last week at the same time as the cannellonis so I’ve taken that out for defrosting, will feed DH and I for two meals with a side of veg. Circa £70 spent.

Desperately looking for lunch ideas for DS as he is currently eating lots of very beige and ultra processed food and very little nutrient packed foods, despite me trying.  When I ask other school mums they say their kids are taking the same but I have mum guilt that I’m not looking after him the best I can. Any suggestions would be appreciated, please?

How about a food flask so he can take LOs from the previous night's meal?  Can also be used for HM soups - plenty of flavours can be used and just add a sandwich of some sort, a piece of fruit and occasionally a piece of HM cake or biscuit.
