Thank you @jwil, usually I would have let the refunds be used on groceries (though if we were in 2024 or before then we'd also be in our overdraft), significant improvements since the end of last year, it's been completely mind blowing.Mortgage (MFD 04/2053) (Jan 25) £238,983.71. Morning

Productive morning as I sorted out under the stairs and have found numerous shoes and jackets to be donated and also threw out 3x pairs of shoes and 2x jackets that were certainly passed wearing. I also threw away 5 items from the bathroom cupboard whilst I was brushing my teeth - now I'm in the thick of the decluttering, I am finding it easier to review and sort things even when completing daily tasks.
So, financial and environmental tasks and goals are on track... physical not so much, I have no energy to exercise but this needs to change...and quickly!
Hope everyone has a great day,

Just reading about cashback apps / cashback giftcards... does anyone use these for their general day to day spending that they would normally do anyway? It would be great to get some user knowledge / experience insight. In the meantime I'm going to go and do a bit of research

Ask @edinburgher. Here's his diary - I recommend it. Also, he's very good at alerting people to offers, gift cards etc on Top CBSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £10,020.92 out of £6000 after September

Where I work (public sector) we have a scheme where we can buy gift cards at a discounted price. If I'm going to buy something I always have a quick glance to see how much of a discount I can buy them for. I tend to do this a fair bit around Black Friday then go via TCB/£co to maximise my spend. I always check the cashback sites prior to spending anything too.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I am personally so lazy around this, but I do use my John Louis card for many things, so I get vouchers from them for my spending. While working, some things had to give and this was my line in the sand. I am busier now, than when I was working, with three charities that I am either administrator or trustee for, volunteer roles, plus my hobbies, and a bit of doing nothingSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £10,020.92 out of £6000 after September
