My wife and I are joint owners of our home, I want to transfer my 50% of our home to my wife free of charge so she becomes the sole owner of the property.
How long does a transfer take (I presume a solicitor will be need) and will there be any tax to pay
Thanks

There may be SDLT/stamp duty due, but perhaps worth clarifying what you're hoping to achieve by doing this, as such actions can influence future tax liabilities and other financial matters?0

I really can’t understand why you would want to do this especially with the situation relating to your wife’s health.

Your type of question crops up regularly on the forum linked below, and you will probably be better off asking it there.
