managed to get through on IKEA chat as telephone kept talking me through all the options before cutting out when I got to advisor, really frustrating! however chat worked and i have a reference number for tracking, should be any day.
However, when i tried to track it the page was down and not working 🙄😬

    I’ll try again today.

Had a day off painting yesterday as I met a friend for coffee and I also got all the bed linen washed and hung out and back on bed, changed duvet to summer duvet as it’s so warm and that was so much better.

Meeting another friend today and got lazer treatment I paid ages ago for.

Plan on doing c25k run 2 of week 3 this morning before appointment.

Tomorrow is a painting day again so hopefully I’ll be done by the weekend as 1 coat covered pretty well, This time I unscrewed plug sockets but have also masked them as they have a separate black frame which hangs down and gets paint on, hopefully this will leave them lovely and clean.

    I’ve had a productive week

3 coats of paint on daughters walls and ceiling done.

Just got woodwork to do, that’s next weeks job.

IKEA plinth done and husband put that together last night. Because other cupboards have been sitting there a few weeks now they are slightly lower 🙄

Because it has a sliding door it needs to be level so I suggested putting weight in in and seeing if it will bed in a bit, 🤞

Think I might have sold the pine dresser, hopefully she will show up next week.

Looking for reasonable priced bed for bedroom, gumtree have not got any small doubles that are not children’s beds so it will have to be new.

    after first coat.

Money wise this week has been good due to couple of painting days.

Must get husband a few clothes for his holidays today and maybe a bed? Probably not, probably look in shop and get online, often cheaper that way.

Will take pics once woodwork 👍

Want a nice light in there, would have got same as before but the energy rating is F which wouldn’t be good as my daughter loves Blackpool illuminations!

At last the long room is all painted.

    Completed woodwork 2nd coat yesterday

Bed should be delivered Wednesday afternoon.

By this weekend the room will be ready!

Plan to do daughter’s wood work tomorrow so that room will also be completed.

Had no news this week yet about job but my manager was pushing it last week so hopefully at the end of this week I’ll have a start date, would ideally like this before I go away on 13th.

Anyway just getting on with it!

Payed a tiny bit of mortgage off as I have only got about £45 now left of 10% op allowance left before May.

Had to go into savings more than expected as husband needed some clothes as he had no weekend things, all his clothes end up work clothes 🙄

Should be a cheap grocery spend this week as I will be on pre holiday week next week.

Will be using everything up in freezer 😀

My friend cancelled coffee as she had to take son to A&E so hopefully he’s ok

so today I had plastic delivered for top of dressing table and it did say it was glass effect, I was sceptical to be honest but I’m amazed how good it looks and how glass like

    IMG_8611.jpeg

hoping this saves chipping of paint and makes it easier to dust.

Getting bed delivered today so looking forward to getting room finished this week at last!!

my hubby is such a star ⭐️

Was looking at pension stuff and I had a tiny pension way back so decided to cash it in, it was £80 so teeny and not worth keeping so I’ll add that to holiday fund.

Made a list today of things to do and I’m getting my way through said list with not too much left to do.

I have also completed c25k week 4 run 2 today so feeling pleased with myself and I’ve had

Apple and oats and Greek yoghurt this morning and a mackeral and avocado salad this afternoon and tonight I’m having spaghetti bolognaise and fruit for dessert so I’m happy with how eating is going.

ah thanks we are pleased with how it looks and I’ve resisted buying a new dressing table, hubby wanted me to but I’ve said I need draws. Ultimately we have to save a bit somewhere.

    IMG_8612.jpeg

bed arrived and hubby and I put it together last night, thankgod his electric screw driver has an Allen key attachment as that made it so much quicker!

Luckily the mattress has that smell that needs a few days airing as I have no bed linen yet, this is just a guest bed so I’m not going to spend a fortune on it and I might repurpose my daughters and get new later, she’s not back til June and then I should be working again.. 🤞🤞

Need to find small bedside table and I’ve got some crystal knobs still left from my dressing table purchase which I would like to use to tie it in.

So today was going to be a nsd but we have Run Norwich entry to pay for but that’s it and it will ensure i keep up my training

having a cup of coffee and enjoy the sunshine today, have already done a coat of paint on woodwork in daughters bedroom and I think I’ll pop a 2nd coat on after my coffee break.

Entry to run Nch h complete too.

I’ve written a list for food next week and we only need until Friday as off to Florida .

Not really wanting to go to USA at moment but daughter is there so not much choice and we will make best of it I’m sure.

Washed daughters duvet and unfortunately the liquid tab decided not to dissolve but stick itself to the duvet in a soap gel mess so I’ve had to try and manually rinse it then I d put it in washer for a rinse.

It seems to be taking forever so not sure if it’s a bit much for the old washing machine 😢

Anyway I can hear it spinning now so hopefully I can hang it out and utilise some of this early spring warmth

Going to try for minimal grocery spends so using whatever is in freezer next week, will try and not buy any meat as that always brings down cost. I have still got half a bottle of red to use to so I’ll have to drink that this week 😛

Another £20 off mortgage, just £25 left of OP ALLOWANCE left so nearly there now. I will pay the rest in April before the May cut off point.

Annoyingly IKEA has wardrobes back in stock but unable to deliver to my address for some reason ??

We will have to go in see if they can deliver to our store, they were out of stock for ages so I got a bit exited they were back In 🙄

I would rather have them delivered in store and save the charge but that’s not always an option!

Anyway we don’t really want them yet anyway so hopefully it will work out when we get back.

so we have had a frugal weekend so far, we had to buy petrol which had of course jumped up in price 🙄

I bought chicken tenders from Aldi and made our own chicken burgers instead of going to McDonald’s, so much nicer too.

My hubby managed to sell the pine dresser really quickly on fb marketplace so that cash we will use for our trip out today with friends.

This week I’m seeing a few friends before I go away but that won’t be too costly as we are just doing coffee and cake/scone outings.

I also have my pedicure this week before I go but I tinted my own eyebrows and will wax them myself so I save a few quid that way as I have the tint already and it tends to last a year or more so I’ve got loads left. I will also just give my cuticles a tidy( ex beauty therapist is handy, could do my own feet but it’s not as easy as you get older and it’s a treat I only do about 2x a year.

Still trying to sell dressing table and bedside table but it’s not real pine so I’m feeling it will probably have to go free in the end.

Next decorating project is the bedroom next to daughters which had all her dumped clutter.

Started moving stuff back into daughters room but in bags, sorted clothes which look grey and gross for bin, daughter can look it over and decide. Also took all the spare coat hangers cluttering up her cupboard out and binned the bent useless ones, put all the clothes neatly on hangers, arranged them all neatly in cupboard and basically decluttered it all . I love these jobs but it always leads to wanting to put hangers inside doors for bags etc, husband is always rolling his eyes at me 🙄😜😜🤣

Need to take photo of her old bed before putting that on fb marketplace as it’s currently in pieces.

Once everything is bagged up and sorted I’ll start on next bedroom but I think it will be after holiday now as I don’t think I will get bed sold and stuff out in time. Project when I get back. That room has a few cracks in it and definitely needs to be white as it’s the darkest room In house
