    🌧️🌧️🌧️

Got a bit to do today which is good.

Didn’t look at phone until I’d had breakfast, trying not to doom scroll first thing.

Sorted a bit of wardrobe out and I’m going to clean my bedroom and sort clothes, see if there is anything else I can put on Vinted.

Got massage this afternoon so I’ll pop to post office to drop Vinted, pick up prescription as I’m out. Just wondering if it’s best to do first or after?

Might see if she can fit me in earlier as I did my CT5K yesterday, glad I did as weather is awful today.

Money wise I’ve done well this week as I’ve not been out and about spending.

Still not got bit for wardrobe delivered so hubby will be peed off about that.

Got brother in laws birthday dinner out Sunday and he’s paying which is very nice.

We will get a drink and tip so won’t be totally £0 but very nice of him.

    happy Friday everyone!

Yesterday ended up being a bad day for diet , went to little M&S shop and bought a few naughty treats £10 ish, proceeded to eat most of them watching tv so not great!

I’m aiming to get up to run 2 of wk 2 C25K this morning then I’ll see my friend today, hopefully have a little walk some where.

I’m still a bit stressed about job and now, back up job is asking about gaps in employment which I don’t think I have so I’ll have to go through diary.

My next job i need to stay longer as this is driving me crazy, all the hoops I’ve got to jump through and my dream job is still pending financial approval, literally someone has to push a button on a computer 🙄

I’m getting frustrated with the waiting, just want a start date.

Still waiting for IKEA bit to be delivered, I’ve found the receipt, not sure if I can track it somehow?

Anyway I’m looking forward to spending weekend with hubby as he’s been working hard this week.

so doing ok, had to buy my teeth inter dental brushes today so that was a few pounds as I have 4 different colours, really look after my teeth, a bit obsessed with using these and encouraged as using them has stopped my gums bleeding which is good but it’s expensive.less expensive than dental work I guess.

Shopping was a bit more than usual as had ingredients for cheesecake and bought some good quality olive oil.

Next week should be better hopefully.

Got about £8 in Vinted this week, not loads but I’m really happy with how I’m clearing out cupboards and I also got rid of some charity shop clothes which had not sold on Vinted.

Trying to sell an office chair on gumtree and still looking for small double bed.

Not actively looking at moment as I want cupboards finished first.

Next week I do need to do some painting though so will make a decision if it’s the boot room or daughters b-room.

So my hubby would like to pay mortgage off in August this year and is happy to pay the redemption fee for the psychological safety. at moment redemption fee is £700 so once we op new 10% allowance in May it will be less and August is last year so it might be £400 which isn’t as bad.

I get that totally and if that helps him we can do it.

I might work out interest plus redemption fee to convince him to wait but I think he will still be happier without a mortgage.

    It’s a huge psychological thing isn’t it?

Anyway good old rain again this morning , will be getting out hell or high water for my last run of wk 2.

    Determined to keep going!

18 days to go before we are flying off to see our girl, can’t wait to see her.

I’m hoping next week to hear news about job start date 😬

Not brother in law b-day today, it’s next week, we r seeing friends and she’s cooking, I’ve done a really nice berry cheesecake, had some frozen summer fruits I’ve used in it as aldi only had small tub raspberries, I’ve used these fresh berries on top.

I reduced sugar to 50g rather than 100g and the summer fruits have made it less sweet, I found the recipe a bit sweet as it also has white chocolate in it, I’m really happy with it, I’ll take a pic.

Something special about knowing you've paid that mortgage off and you don't owe anyone anything anymore. It's well worth it, you certainly won't regret it! 🙂

I've been mortgage free once, so let's do it again!

Awake at 3am so I am journaling 🙄

Sorted all the finances out for month and paid visa bills.

Moved a bit of money around and paid Khlarna off, not sure why I got khlarna and didn’t just put it on Amex for points?
some extras come out this month and no wage for me so into saving I go, had a bit more money from wages last mth so I saved that in an account to use so drew half of that out, have a bit more for next month and I’m hoping I’m working April 🤞

    Still no news

Email to HR coming this Thursday as it’s 3 weeks since last communication!

Getting a bit fed up with it now 😢

On a positive note I started decorating daughters bedroom yesterday and today I’ll put a coat of paint on walls, as it’s white it will take 3 coats so I’ll add another coat to ceiling on the 2nd or 3rd coat as I don’t want to do it again today 😊

She is such a hoarder!! I’ve not even attempted to dejunk as she needs to do that herself, I’m not going to put anything back in drawers unless it’s clothes, she can deal with the junk.

Got to buy new bed with drawers and some cupboards, selling some of her furniture as it’s all old and not matching and I want to be able to take it with us when we down size, she’s not hard on things so it’s worth it. Hopefully someone is buying her dressing table this week, not sure about dresser, someone seemed interested then nothing 🙄

so I had a run today? Run 1 of week 3.

It was so beautiful out today so it was easy to get out.

Then I decorated daughters bedroom, finished about 5pm

It really makes me ache and feel like I’ve done a work out, which I have with run I suppose.

Anyway it will definitely need 3 coats of paint but I’m not asking hubby to help as he’s a misery 🤣🤣

Anyway I’m not too bad if I put some tunes on, I just get on with it.

Mind you I’m out tomorrow, trying to sort IKEA bits, tried using chatbot on IKEA but that was rubbish so I’m meeting friend tomorrow near the IKEA we ordered it from.

I feel the girl might have messed up somehow as I have a reference no, not order number and it’s not long enough so I can’t track the order, frustrating as we can’t get the bedroom finished until the part comes in, it’s been 3 weeks this weekend 🙄

Luckily i can get on with daughters bedroom.

No interest on gum tree for furniture so I’ll get hubby to put it on FB marketplace, seems to sell on there.

£ wise today has been a £0 day!

ChatGPT says that finance won’t process my job now as it’s payday tomorrow so i think I’ll wait a few days after payday before I ask them as they won’t even look at the moment as they will be busy sorting wages.

    yes that’s true.

There are always queries and pay problems after payday to account for I feel.

So…I did contact my future line manager and he has been chasing HR and trying to find out from them a contact to speak to. Poor guy it’s a nightmare for him too. but he appreciates my experience and that my pay should reflect that. He’s not having much luck as HR lady hasn’t replied to him so I’ll ping her an email today to remind her. It’s painful!! He seems on it and to be fair he’s probably going to achieve more than me at this point
