it should have never gone to auction in the first place i been telling ax weeks before the car went to auction they should have given it back to not authorise the salvage co to auction its ax who are at fault the salvage co offered me £200 compensation plus the £210.99 ax at the moment are investigatingMildly_Miffed said:

i refused the offer of £210.99 and told them i want the car back they told me to contact ax which i did and told them i want it back about 1 week after the accident they told copart on 11/12 24 to sell it even thoo they knew i wanted it backforgotmyname said:Thinking outside the box.
You were offered the chance to keep your car for the scrap value of £210.99 and you refused the offer so they sold it?Exactly it sounds like you refused the offer to buy your car back for £210.99 so it was sold at auction. The fact you wanted it back but refused the offer
meant it was increasing the storage bill so needed to be actioned quickly and you refused to buy it at that price?
They chose to offer it you for £210.99.
You turned that down.
They do not have to enter negotiations over price.
They chose not to, so put it into the auction instead.
You could have bid at the auction.
You chose not to pay the asking price for it.
sorry your wrong ax-uk sent me an email stating the other party's insurance have no interest in the car therefore im free to do what i want with it so its still my carMildly_Miffed said:

It seems fairly apparent that you are not getting the car back as it has now been bought in good faith by someone at the auction who may well have spent money on it.tony1076 said:HMildly_Miffed said:

Ax-U.K. appear to be at fault for not respecting your instructions and are therefore liable for the loss that you have incurred. They have offered you this amount plus £200 for the inconvenience. I’d accept that if I were you as I doubt you’d be able to prove any greater loss to a court.1 -
it wasnt ax who offered my £200 it was copart as well as the £210.99 scrap value your right ax are to blame they should have sent the car backNobbie1967 said:

How much was your car worth before the crash, how much will it cost to replace like for like ? That is the most you are entitled to, you are not going to get the car back unless you want to go down some long winded legal rabbit hole that will end up costing you way more than the value of the car. A civil small claim would only award the value of the car, which you seem to be getting already, not get you the car back.
