At home today, counting down the birth day for little one! Have made some savings today and taken an MSE approach to things:
- Shopped around and bought some items at Lidl £0.95 saving
- Online Asda shopping used codes (after delivery fee) £3.53 saving
- Bought niece's crimbo present online to pick up via cash back website and 20% off £3.20 saving
- Writing wedding thank you cards and enclosing Xmas cards in same envelope using stamps purchased pre-hike
- Bought present on Amazon via Nectar to collect points
- When I boiled kettle filled up a flask so saving another two kettle boils
So in real cash terms I've saved £7.68 today to add to mortgage chickenPrevious debt: £14K :embarasse Debt free: Sept '03MFW#42 Mortgage OP savings £4271.18/£12000 2019

Not going out - which I guess saves money - but does cost in electricity bills for heating! Continuing to take an MSE approach to life, small things I've done last few days:
- Buying items on ebay via topcashback to get 33.3% back on some them and making sure account linked with Nectar points
- Filling up flasks so not boiling kettle as much
- Using up random food in cupboard for meals
- Eating ends of loaves as hubby doesn't like them
- Complained to Asda about shopping as one item they gave me was out of date in August!!! DH recons he'll eat it anyway so that's £5.35 refunded
- Chased a Nectar transaction that hadn't credited which is worth £0.17
In other news DH is viewing properties today for us to rent near where he works. At the moment his commute costs £500 a month and with me at home on maternity leave we might as well move... but our rental bill is going to increase by about £400!!! All whilst we have reduced incomeI do worry about money, it's going to be tight, but Walnut will be worth it
Total to add to mortgage chicken today £5.52 :T in chickenPrevious debt: £14K :embarasse Debt free: Sept '03MFW#42 Mortgage OP savings £4271.18/£12000 2019

At home, clock is ticking to birth day!
Bit annoyed with myself yesterday, had been meaning to raise a complaint about last place I rented not getting all deposit back. Thought I had until 9th Jan to do, but it was 9th December so my own silly fault for missing deadlineOh well, onwards and upwards.
Today's small achievements:- Chased topcashback about a claim that hadn't gone through, now activated so that's £6.50
- Ordered a baby matress online with 10% code so saved £1.94 (also this is for pram sister has lent us so not had to buy one saving £££££!)
- Ordered connectors for car baby seat (from sister 2) to fit on pram base (from sister 1) - £20 but much cheaper compared to cost of buying car seat and pram base from new!
- Searched online to get cheapest price for nursing bra I wanted.
Not sure when I should add cashbacks to my total, well I guess this is my diary so I'll just do it as I go along!
