    Back in da smoke, long train ride this morning. But was VERY good (for me) and resisted cuppa tea on the 4 hour train ride. Then had my lunch at work so almost a nsd....but couldn't resist my 'first day back to smoke' ritual of a cappucino. I know, I know, but it's once a week! I guess I probably need to visit the demotivator...

    Hi, MushyPeas, long time no see :beer: Love this thread :A

    Well done for resisting - I went to Leeds earlier in the week, took a packed lunch and did really well to resist the chocolate singing to me in WHS ;) Didn't realise thet they've put kiosks on each platform :eek: I had to put my earphones in to stop the chocolate trying to tempt me again :rotfl:

    See you on Old Style sometime? Penny. x

    Ooh day two back on MSE and in my excitement to get back on the wagon I went to my supermarket to find some 'whoopsies' (I still think that sounds like something else!) :rotfl: Anyway it seems as if every bloomin' other person in the area was there and nothing to find :( So I came out with a 4pt milk (to freeze into 1pt portions) and some reduced chocs for my Grandad's birthday in March.

    Currently sitting at home with dressing gown on.. determined not to put on heating! To help save money I'm drinking a glass of red to warm me up ;).

    Oooh a quiet NYE, though I've spent far too much time on here today, at least I have:

    * researched home made washing liquid / powder (thought it was a good way to use up at least 50 small bars of soap :eek:
    * made a freezer inventory
    * NSD :D
    * NHD (apart from when showering!)
    * worked TRA 3.5 hrs
    * joined NNTC - No New Toiletries Challenge :T
    * sorted out two kitchen cupboards
    * finished off all the chocolate :A
    .... blimey, not much, where did the day go?

    Well to get motivated (and not waste hours on here!) tomorrow, as in Jan 1st 2010, I shall:

    * work TRA 6 hrs
    * paperwork for another job and contact relevant people
    * reply to all NYE text messages that will come in!
    * NSD :D
    * tidy lounge
    * strip and wash bed

    Happy New Year all MSErs :kiss:

    Another day, another dollar... well sterling :D

    Not too much achieved today, still feeling a bit rough. Of the list, we're at:

    * work TRA 6 hrs 3.5 hrs, so another 14 to do Sat / Sun
    * paperwork for another job and contact relevant people nope :(
    [STRIKE]* reply to all NYE text messages that will come in![/STRIKE] :cool:
    * NSD :D not at all! Had to buy Photoshop Elements for work (needed), BUT didn't get some sale bedding I fancied as I do have some... feel pleased that I resisted. Oh and picked up three bargain teddy bears for next Crimbo.
    [STRIKE]* tidy lounge[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]* strip and wash bed[/STRIKE]

    Extras:
    * listed one item on Amazon / Green Metropolis :j
    * sat in layers for most of the day and heating was only on for 5 mins.. though bit worried as funny smell from boiler :eek:
    * home made soup for lunch
    * entered two instant win comps and er won :rolleyes:

    Ok, ok, so it's a SLOW start... but you know, baby steps and all that :rotfl:

    Tomorrow's list:

    * 7 hours TRA
    * paperwork for other job and contact relevant people
    * start sorting out finances for Nov / Dec
    * watch Dr Who :D
    * pop down to charity shops to try and pick up saucepan & grater to make homemade washing detergent
    * hoover lounge

    Right, dinner time!

    Well tonight I think I'll just focus on the positives... so here go, achievements today:

    * installed Skype so can cut the cost of phonecalls
    * homemade dinner of leftover in slow cooker - no recipe! Tasted ok, but a bit hot :eek:
    * sold another book, so that's 3 out of the 5 I listed! Didn't expect this so I won't post anymore until I have posting supplies
    * did 3 hours work (now starting the new year 7 hours behind :( )
    * signed up to the flylady thread

    Bit rubbish, but hey ho... probably spending far too much time on here!

    Tomorrow, another day..... *sigh*

    Okies, to keep my motivated I thought I'd jot down any MSE style things I've done today - will edit as the day progresses:

    * not turned the heating on - wearing extra layers
    * only boiling as much water as needed in kettle
    * every third cuppa is a brew of previous 2 teabags
    * using up out of date food, 2008 wasn't THAT long ago ;)
    * walked into town rather than using the car and paying to park
    ** bonus of getting a work out walking up the lonnnnng hill!
    * only spending £1 when I went into town, 2 x brand new ramekins in a charity shop
    * created week's menu plan

    Ah I feel like I'm making some progress if I write a list!

    MSE tips picked up:

    * buy full fat milk and water down before using, save ££ compared to skimmed
    * buy a sun jar so I don't have to put light on in evening in hallway
