We use the cheapest of cheap cat litter because she gets through such a lot of it - have just taken my first subscribe and save delivery of 7 x 20 litres from Pets at Home. It's an awful lot to store to meet the minimum for free delivery but it may be worth thinking about a regular delivery from somewhere for the cat litter.1

Ok so having sat through Martin’s show on catch up, I looked out the window and decided to brave the outside world instead of the spreadsheet. The numbers will all still be there later but the sunshine wont. After talking about the guineas yesterday it gave me an idea. Why not use the old guinea pig cage and run to block off the soon-to-be grass areas? That way, no more digging and puppies can have a bit more garden fun time while I am making sense of the worst of the bits that were left unfinished last year! So, that’s what I have been doing! Actually out gardening! NOW it feels like my birthday! 😃End of

We use Catit cat litter and buy it on offer, it lasts a whole month with twice daily filtering of erm the toilet..
So its usually £12 a month averaged out when we buy two or three on offer from the garden centre. Smells great and its a special clumping litter, beats anything else I have ever used.

I am very confused about your actual birthday but have a lovely day!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Haha, don’t worry, you are not alone about being confused about my birthday @Cherryfudge ! It’s been an odd one.At just gone 2pm I got asked to pick up dd2 from college, so cut the gardening short. Then I got directed to drive to KFC where she bought me a meal (I didn’t have the heart to tell her that as it was half 2 I had already eaten lunch!). Then I was asked to drive to Tesco’s for dd2 to pick up some parcels. I finally worked out what they were up to when I came home to a fully decorated room, one very frazzled looking dd1 and a whole bunch of presents. Bless them!I considered it a teaching moment. Suddenly they realised that sometimes life happens and birthday’s don’t always go to plan. What this taught them was it is never a reflection on them if ever their birthdays aren’t always a big bash, or right on time. Sometimes it is just damn hard to make everything go as you would hope and you know what, THAT’S OK! I love them for trying their very best and if all I’d have got was a hug and a happy birthday, that would have been enough. As it happens, they did in fact pull off a birthday. They got me a dog retrieving dummy, a book, a banana hook, a plant support and an automatic plant waterer (much needed as I have plants on a high shelf which has become very difficult to get to and they have been teetering on the edge of death a few too many times before now). These were all things I have wanted for a long time. I also got some of my favourite hand cream and chocolates. Oh and then they are taking me out for a meal this evening too and they have bought me a birthday cake (I may not eat for a week after today)! Now though, nap time. 😴End of

A very well done to the DDs. & A Happy Birthday if I forgot earlier. There seem to be a lot this month, mine isn't until the Ides, anniversary of Caesars assassination. I wonder if that is why I found learning the friends romans countrymen speech so much easier to learn than any other.2
