    Congratulations on the job. Definitely get a bed sorted so that you can sleep in the van if necessary. Would be worth using some of your lump sum to get that sorted before you start the job.

    Thank you all for your kind words. I am still amazed that anyone even reads my diary at all, let alone follows it enough to root for me. Thank you, it means a lot. 😊


    I have a question you might all be able to help me with. I just received an invite for the second interview for the other job I went for. Same kind of role but less money. The question is, do I still interview or tell them I’ve taken the other job? The one I have been offered is better but until I actually start a job I am always worried it might fall through.

    The Universal Credit people have also asked me to come in and show them all my bank statements to support my claim. Do I go through the hassle of doing that given I am going to start a new job and between now and then my claim will be nil anyway? I am tempted to just close the claim. What do you think?
