PCN Store now closed

Hi there,
I've ignored these in the past but this time they've decided to run it. Possibly because it is a long time ago and the store has now closed so I can't go back to talk to staff, etc. Here's the redacted N1.
The car park has ANPR to prove entry and exit times, which I don't deny. However, IIRC, and I used to go to this store every week, I spent a long time searching the full timber stocks for straight CLS for a built in wardrobe project (now complete). I couldn't find any suitable timber, put all the wood back neatly where if came from. I also spoke to a member of staff who I was friendly with at some length.
The car park is currently being used as a free car park by anyone for any length of time as the store is permanently closed.

Wickes still exist, even if that store doesn't. Plan A is probably to approach them directly, although it's possible that it is too late for them to do anything, given court proceedings have been started. (Can someone else confirm?)
With that being said, the particulars of claim do appear inadequate. The particulars claim you overstayed, but do not give an entry or exit time, nor the duration you stayed, nor the term explaining the actual length of the stay.
There is a discrepancy between the particulars and the amount claimed too. The particulars are claiming £170, but the form claims £180, and the total amount uses the £180.
Is the form actually unsigned, or did you (correctly, but seamlessly) redact the claimant's legal representative? That's probably a technical point which won't get too far, to be fair.
In short, extremely defendable, although others will do a better job of advising on the specifics of what to do and say.2 -
Just follow the advice in the Newbies/FAQ thread and the Template Defence thread. As long as the claim is defended, it will eventually be discontinued.2

Wickes wont be the landowner
Just check the details and if the date in the POC is incorrect use the recent numbered rebuttal for paragraph 3, put an ending to paragraph 2and possibly add a short concise paragraph as 3.1, genuine paying customer of Wickes
No long stories, no assumptions, stick to the usual concise paragraphs , but use all of the rest of the template defence, around 31 paragraphs in total
The parking charge notice was £100, the rest is spurious debt collectors fees and interest, making up the £1802 -
I appreciate the replies. As to the signature for the solicitors, it's a typed name I thought best to remove. (I assume this counts as a signature.)
I hadn't noticed the discrepancy in the
claim amount. Thanks.
Embarrassingly, I can't seem to find the newbies thread, despite searching for it.

There are 6 announcements at the top of this forum, below the banners
The newbies sticky thread is currently third from the top1 -
In most current defences v DCB Legal claims, paragraph 3 (within the 30 paragraph Template Defence) looks similar to the thread below by @shahib_02 ... just change the incident date:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6576011/cel-dcb-legal-pcn-cnbc-claim-defence-assistance-required-pleaseNo need for more detail. That's your para 3 done with just one date to change.
4. rest of the Template Defence of 30 paragraphs follows, but DON'T copy & paste it here...please!P.S.
...surely you've seen replies from me when you read a few threads? You seem to have overlooked my colourful signature which coaches everyone how to navigate the forum, look:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks again people. Very much appreciated.
I think I'm suffering from looking for a particular tree in the woods syndrome.
And I'm always trying to fit a quart into a pint pot.0 -
Your tasks are doing the AOS online if not done already, then follow the well trodden path behind all the others
After the AOS is completed, draft your paragraphs 2 & 3 for slotting into the template defence, same as everyone else, following the 12 steps
Ignore the trees in the woods, ignore the beer glasses too, just act like a lemming1 -
Please read my signature.
My signature is not a link.
It simply tells you where to click to get to page one. I even type out what it looks like. Nothing new or different, it's just a breadcrumb trail link at the top of the page.
You can certainly see that on a phone.
Same as you see on any forum and when online shopping at retailers. A breadcrumb trail of steps you've taken, just like you see on any retail site too. Always at the top of a page you are on.
Alternatively why not just Google
moneysavingexpert parking tickets forum
And come to it from scratch on a new tab. You'll be on page one...

I appreciate your patience,
Clicking on your signature does nothing. I think there is something wrong with this phone (or the settings) because nothing is working as described.
I've been on the Internet since it was born, I'm not a newbie.
Christ, I've been on this forum before many years ago.
So I KNOW it works.
It just isn't working on this phone.
I'll sort something out.1
