Vodafone PAYG1 is now PAYG £2 - Rip-off

I have noticed two other issues with Vodafone PAYG Big Value Bundle (the first of these may well also affect contract users and/or other network users too).
- Voicemails and notification texts are often delayed by hours or sometimes even days (I have missed very important messages because I was not in a position to pick up the call and was too busy to remember to call back so was reliant on receiving a VM)
- When recently (like the OP I am not a regular user) I forgot to update the credit on my bundle, I suddenly found I couldn't access data when I did need it - I phoned Vodafone and asked why I didn't receive a warning my credit was low and was told it's not their policy to notify customers

About the OP missing information about the change to his bundle because he didn't fully read the texts.
Under consumer law, information and terms that are not clearly brought to the customer's attention, especially if hidden among "small print" are often rendered unenforceable - though in this instance it's wasn't a contract the OP was locked into.
In general, burying information a party is obliged to release/state but knows could put them at a disadvantage is common but very poor practice and certainly not good customer service (for example, government ministers releasing controversial news whe an unrelated major story breaks).0
