Not long before those daily payments reach £4 a day, then that amount is going to come down at an alarming rate because every 5 days is going to see £20+ coming off.

btw I never replied but i can't tell my daughter anything about finances either (at 22 she's a similar age to yours). Mine spends on ubereats  and make up!

Other thing I was going to ask was do you get paid early in December? You have the same payment schedule as my husband (and that I used to have) and we didn't. It could be frustrating when you had additional christmas related costs but weren't being paid till NYE!

Yes another 8 days and it is the start of every 5 days is at least £20. Which will make it feel like its going down quick. But in reality it just makes the end of month lump sum less than it was previously. I still have the same salary each month its just a different way to  make the payments thats all. It does give you a boost when you see the total figure coming down quicker than it was previously though. But at the start it helps to keep you focused and your mind trained on looking at, thinking about and paying your debts regularly. Discipline and consistency - like 90% of my quote pics  :D

Your daughter is exactly the same as mine by the sounds of it (although shes not a makeup type of girl). But Lives on takeaways and rubbish food, goes out driving her car around just for something to do most of the time (wasting money for nothing) and wont listen to anything i try to tell her about trying to save money. Im just "nagging" at her if i do apparently lol. I wish i knew what i do now when i was her age. I would be saving every penny i can and thinking more about my future than i did when i was her age. But kids hey, you cant tell em sometimes.

Yep you're right, i still only get paid last working day of the month, even at Christmas. It can be frustrating, but i think its a good thing really as you could end up spending more money than you could actually afford to on xmas and then have longer to wait until your next pay day with less money. So i think it actually helps you to budget and not overspend.... plus i dont like xmas ... in fact i would go as far as to so i HATE Xmas. So i dont spend much on it at all really, not if i can help it anyway.  But i suppose it is helpful for families and people who do enjoy Xmas and need/would like their money a little earlier to make it easier for them x
