Love yesterday's quote and thank you for putting up the tree  one for me a few days ago, loved that too.
Im guessing you're on a water meter from the amt you put up? Going to look into getting one as our payments have jumped heavily to 3 figures! (x8 months) and also going to tell a relative who lives alone to do same.
Is your gas DD or a meter? Loads of questions sorry, but we want to guide our relative who is young and lives alone into the best options bill wise.

Hi, thanks for your comments. Yes im on a water meter it was one of the first things i did when i moved in is get a water meter installed, it cut my bills almost in half. Living alone myself i use well below the average household which im guessing non metered water bills are loosely based upon. So i would definitely recommend anyone living alone, or people who use little or less than average water to get a meter, it can save you a lot over time.

My gas is a direct debit, i dont use that amount of gas, but i try and pay more than my bill each month so it build up a bit of a  positive balance in my account for emergency use like cold winters when i may use more gas. I also do the same with my electricity. I have a positive balance in my electricity account of over £100 right now, i could withdraw it and pay it off my debts right now, but i like to have some sort of emergency positive balance, just incase something happens in life (as they do), like prices sky rocket, i cant work for whatever reason etc, at least then i know that i have a couple of months worth of bills paid for on my energy bills if i was unable to pay my bills for whatever reason. It also an emergency fund if i ever need to withdraw it for whatever reason, i can just call them up and get it paid back at anytime. I treat it like an additional savings account if u like. The gas and electricity companies keep trying to lower my direct debit amounts as my accounts are in credit, but i always change the new direct debit amount back to my old figure above what they recommend so it continues to build up my little safety fund. Its only like £5-£10 a month but over the year it adds up to a nice amount, that you could use for xmas or anything you like, and you dont even notice it gone really. I'm planning on using it if i get to the end f paying these debts and i have an odd amount left to pay after my final monthly lump sum payment, i can use these emergency energy pots to pay off another smaller lump sum to get it paid off in the final month.

Don't worry about asking questions, i like to help out and answer any questions if i can. Thanks again for your comments

Just a quick weekly update on the grand total now paid off, which is now over £2100 and 32% of the total owed at the start.

Also the monthly average payment is now down to under £435 per month to get it all paid off in the next 10 months (hopefully sooner)

You are making excellent progress and it won't be too long until the debt starts with a 3 which will be great.
I'm another one who looks forward to the quotes.
